Born in Cairo, Egypt, El Sheikh’s passion for culinary arts was ignited by the rich flavours of his grandmother’s cooking.
At the age of 16, his family moved to the United States, marking the beginning of his professional culinary journey.
He studied at California State Polytechnic University at Pomona, graduating with a Hotel and Restaurant Management degree and then received a Culinary Arts degree from Chicago’s Kendall College.
During his time there, he gained invaluable experience as an intern line cook at Four Seasons Hotel Chicago.
In Las Vegas, El Sheikh served as executive sous chef at Aureole by Charlie Palmer, Michael Mina Bellagio before advancing to executive chef at The Mansions at MGM Grand, then Crockfords Hotel at Resort World Las Vegas. Most recently he held an executive chef role on the PGA Tour.
