Nilsson brings an extensive background and a commitment to excellence, ensuring exceptional guest experiences and operational cohesion across the Group’s properties in Maldives.

Nilsson, a Swedish hotelier with an affable view on life, is no stranger to Maldives.

With over 30 years of experience in luxury hospitality, he had managed luxury hotels and resorts across Asia, Indian Ocean and the Pacific with notable brands such as Ritz-Carlton, Soneva, Six Senses, Conrad and Anantara. Prior to joining COMO, Nilsson served as Chief Executive Officer at Banwa Private Island, an exclusive estate in Palawan, Philippines.

Located on two secluded islands in the Maldives, COMO Cocoa Island and COMO Maalifushi each offer guests immersive experiences, anchored by COMO Shambhala’s award-winning holistic wellness offerings. COMO Cocoa Island in South Malé Atoll is an intimate island with 33 overwater villas and a deep respect for its natural surroundings.
