Hotel Sezz Saint-Tropez, a glamorous resort on the French Riviera, reopens its doors for the summer season. As well as showing off a dazzling completed spa, the hotel will open two new luxury private villas in June. Created by hotelier Shahé Kalaidjian and designer Christophe Pillet, the resort comprises 35 guestrooms and two villas surrounding a spacious central pool area, all with an outdoor shower, private terrace and garden.
The Villas
Exclusivity, privacy and comfort are paramount in these new spaces, set to open in June 2011. Designed with a loft concept, the villas allow guests to experience the hotel in even greater privacy, with 90m² of interior space, including two bedrooms and a large lounge. Each villa will also have its own private plunge pool, large terrace and private garden. A range of luxury amenities, including a Nespresso coffee machine, Acqua di Parma products in the bathrooms, a HiFi with Harman Kardon speakers, ensure guests have everything they need for an indulgent stay.
Villa guests can also access the nearby Canoubiers Beach easily, allowing them to sample the famous Côte d’Azur coastline in just a few minutes walk. The central pool area is also close by, giving guests the option to enjoy the lively spaces of the hotel, or the privacy of their own idyllic holiday retreat.
The Spa
The chic space at Spa Sezz features stainless steel waterfall bath spouts and oversized square spa showerheads that blend beautifully with materials typical of Provence: exotic wood and local sandstone tiling. Developed in exclusive partnership with the French cosmetic brand Payot, Spa Sezz is the only spa on the French Riviera using Payot products. Both men and women can choose from a wide range of facial and body treatments, including massages that can be performed outside in the Japanese garden. This gives guests full benefit of the fresh Mediterranean breezes and scents of the surrounding vegetation, including olive trees, mimosas and fig and lemon trees. There are also two indoor treatment rooms, a Jacuzzi and a hammam (steam room).
The Hotel
The hotel has a restaurant Colette headed by Pierre Gagnaire, a stylish Dom Perignon champagne bar and an outdoor pool bar area, giving guests a variety of chic spaces to drink and dine. Inside the rooms, designer Christophe Pillet has made sure that guests will smell, hear and taste ‘holiday’ from their beds and baths. The interiors reflect a 1950s color code with a mix of white, light grey, dark brown, light blue and saffron.
