Vail Resorts Announces Resignation of Stan Brown, President of Lodging Division

Vail Resorts, Inc. (NYSE:MTN) announced today that Stan Brown is leaving his position as president of RockResorts and Vail Resorts Lodging Company, effective June 19, 2009, to become chief operating officer of Holiday Retirement Corporation, a senior housing provider with 300 independent retirement communities across North America.

"Stan has been a great leader in helping to drive the success and growth of our hospitality operations over the past two years," said Rob Katz, chief executive officer of Vail Resorts. "He leaves behind an organization which has created a new level of brand excellence and the utmost commitment to the guest experience across our properties. I am very appreciative that Stan has positioned our lodging efforts for long-term growth and success and I wish him the best at his new opportunity."

Brown was appointed executive vice president and chief operating officer of RockResorts and Vail Resorts Hospitality in June 2007 and became president in October 2008.

The Company will begin a search immediately for a new president of its hospitality division. In the interim, Chief Executive Officer Rob Katz will oversee operations of RockResorts and Vail Resorts Lodging Company.
