Ultra-luxury Silversea Cruises today announced Silver Cloud will sail to the Atlantic provinces of Canada and America's New England next fall. The ship's revised schedule replaces a London-to-Barbados repositioning voyage and three Caribbean cruises with four new itineraries spanning from London, Reykjavik and Montreal to New York and Bermuda.
Towns trimmed in russet red and orange; rugged shores and lonely lighthouses; colonial American ports steeped in history; the Statue of Liberty watching over New York Harbor -- these are some of the amazing spectacles that await guests on Silver Cloud's new autumn itineraries for 2009.
"The last time we offered fall cruises to this region was three years ago and Silver Cloud has not visited since 1999," said David Morris, Silversea's executive vice president of worldwide sales and marketing. "We offered a couple of expedition cruises in the north Atlantic earlier this year on the Prince Albert II, and they were extremely popular. We think that indicates it's time to start featuring these destinations again on one of the ships in our classic fleet, especially during the spectacular fall foliage season."
Following below are the new Silver Cloud itineraries, starting with a repositioning cruise from London to Reykjavik (rates are per person, double occupancy and do not include port charges):
*
VOYAGE 1923: September 19 - 27, London to Reykjavik, 8 days, calling in Rosyth, Invergordon, Kirkwall, Lerwick and Thorshavn. Ship overnights in London. Advance Payment Bonus fares start at $5,621.

*
VOYAGE 1925: October 9 - 19, Montreal to New York, 10 days, calling in Quebec City, Gaspe, Sydney, Halifax, Bar Harbor, Boston and Newport. Ship overnights in Montreal, navigates the St. Lawrence River and sails through the Cape Cod Canal. Advance Payment Bonus fares start at $4,936.
