Personal Hotel Consulting will represent Jumeirah in Argentina, Chile, Peru, Venezuela and Colombia, while Hotel International Partners will cover Brazil
Dubai, Jumeirah, the fast-growing Dubai-based luxury international hospitality management group and a member of Dubai Holding, has announced the appointment of Personal Hotel Consulting (PHC) and Hotel International Partners (HIP) to head up its sales efforts in South America.
Respectively based in Buenos Aires and Sao Paolo, PHC and HIP are independent companies providing a full range of sales and marketing services for luxury class hotels and resorts around the world, and have been in the market for 10 years.
PHC and HIP will focus on positioning the Jumeirah brand and execute Jumeirah’s sales efforts towards meeting planners and incentive companies, as well as groups representing leisure and corporate travellers in primary markets in South America.
With five-star hotels and resorts in Dubai, London, New York – and soon in Shanghai – Jumeirah is turning its attention to the South American market. The Group has recently been appointed to manage a luxury lifestyle resort dedicated to polo and equestrian sports, located in Argentina. The Jumeirah Culu Culu Polo Resort will be located in Lobos, a 30-minute ride from Argentina’s Ezeiza International Airport and just one hour away from Buenos Aires.
Apo Demirtas, Chief Sales and Marketing Officer for Jumeirah, commented: “We have identified the Americas as one of our key geographical growth areas. Some of our properties, such as the Burj Al Arab, the world’s most luxurious hotel, are well known across South America; our partnership with PHC and HIP will now help us in spreading our promise to STAY DIFFERENT™ in dynamic markets such as Argentina and Brazil.”
Jumeirah Group: Jumeirah properties are regarded as among the most luxurious and innovative in the world and have won numerous international travel and tourism awards. The Dubai-based luxury international hospitality management group encompasses the world renowned Burj Al Arab, the world’s most luxurious hotel, the multi-award winning Jumeirah Beach Hotel, Jumeirah Emirates Towers, Madinat Jumeirah and Jumeirah Bab Al Shams Desert Resort & Spa in Dubai, the Jumeirah Carlton Tower and Jumeirah Lowndes Hotel in London and the Jumeirah Essex House on Central Park South in New York.
The Group’s activities are, however, not restricted to hotel and resort management. The Jumeirah Group portfolio also includes Wild Wadi, regarded as one of the premier water parks outside of North America; The Emirates Academy of Hospitality Management, the region’s only third-level academic institution specialising in the hospitality and tourism sectors; The Taste Department, the company’s dedicated restaurant division; global spa brand Talise Wellness; Jumeirah Living, the Group’s luxury brand of serviced residences offering effortless living in luxurious surroundings; and Jumeirah Retail, with its 15 stores and dedicated luxury online store www.jumeirahcollection.com.
Building on this success, Jumeirah Group became a member of Dubai Holding in 2004, a collection of leading Dubai based businesses and projects, initiating a new phase of growth and development for the group.
Jumeirah has extensive expansion plans to grow its portfolio of luxury hotels and resorts into key gateway or letterhead cities and aspirational resort destinations worldwide. Currently, the Group has several luxury five-star properties under development, including five in Dubai and others in Abu Dhabi, Aqaba, Doha, Phuket, Bermuda, Argentina, Mallorca and London. The Group is eagerly anticipating the grand opening of Jumeirah HanTang Xintiandi in late 2008, Jumeirah’s first hotel in the Asia Pacific region.
