Indochina's Victoria Hotels & Resorts has announced two key sales & marketing appointments at the 'off-the-beaten-track' luxury hotel group.
Based at the group’s Head Office in Ho Chi Minh City, Malaysian Zosimo Jimeno is promoted from Director of Sales to Director of E-Commerce. Mr Jimeno joined Victoria Hotels & Resorts in 2007, managing room sales for the group’s five hotels & resorts in Vietnam, and one in Cambodia. He also introduced e-commerce to operations via GDS. Mr Jimeno began his tourism and hospitality industry career in his native Kuala Lumpur, where from 1990 to 2003 he rose through the ranks of Mayflower Acme Tours to become Marketing Services Manager. His first appointment as Director of Sales was at the Sutera Harbour Resort in Kota Kinabalu. In Vietnam, he previously worked at the Hotel Equatorial in Ho Chi Minh City.
Previously based in Cambodia, German national Nataly Wanhoff, is newly-appointed Director of Sales. Her hospitality industry training was at the Best Western Parkhotel Bad Soden, graduating as a national certified hotelier in 1993. Her first post was as Reservations Officer at Intercity Hotel Frankfurt am Main. After a stint in local newspapers, she joined Germany’s IKARUS TOURS in 1998, initially as a desk clerk before promotion the following year to product manager for Asia. Since 2007 she was General Manager for Exotissimo Travel Cambodia at their office in Phnom Penh.
French Pierre-Olivier Mailliard has been appointed Train Manager of the Victoria Express Train, linking Hanoi to Lao Cai (Sapa). Mr Pierre-Olivier Mailliard is joining Victoria Hotels & Resort after holding the position of Operation Manager at Bhaya Cruises in Halong Bay. After graduating from Hotel Management two years ago in Avignon, France, he has since been working in the hospitality industry in both France and Vietnam.
Mr Vorana Na Champassak has been promoted to Resident Manager at Victoria Angkor Resort & Spa. He joined Victoria Hotels & Resorts a year ago as Food & Beverage Manager. Graduated from the “Centre International De Glion”, a Hotel Management School in Switzerland, Vorana started his career with Le Meridien and worked for the group for 11 years in various positions. With 17 years in the industry, he also had the opportunity to broaden his scope doing hotel openings for Four Seasons and Melia Hotels in Costa Rica, and ultimately held the position of Resident Manager at Vincci Hotels in the Canary Island.
