 The Peninsula Hotels Welcomes Philip Kadoorie as Newly Appointed Deputy Chairman

Mr Andrew Brandler, Non-Executive Deputy Chairman of the Company, will resign as the Deputy Chairman of the Board with effect from 31 December 2024.
Mr Brandler will remain a Non-Executive Director, the Chairman of the Finance Committee and a member of the Audit Committee, Remuneration Committee and Executive Committee.
There are no changes in the terms of appointment of Mr Brandler as a Non-Executive Director following Mr Brandler’s resignation as the Deputy Chairman of the Board.
Mr Philip Kadoorie was appointed to the HSH Board in December 2017. He oversees a number of Kadoorie family interests in Hong Kong and overseas.
He is a Non-Executive Director and a Member of the Sustainability Committee of CLP Holdings Limited; an Independent Non-Executive Director of CK Hutchison Holdings Limited, and a Director of Sir Elly Kadoorie & Sons Limited.
Mr Kadoorie has achieved a BSc in Communication from Boston University and holds an FAA commercial pilot’s license. He is the son of HSH Chairman, The Hon. Sir Michael Kadoorie, and is 32 years old.
Mr Kadoorie said, “Stepping into the role of Deputy Chairman at a company with such a rich heritage, and in which my family have been involved for four generations, is both an honour and a responsibility. I am deeply grateful to my father for his continued guidance and support, and the invaluable support of the HSH Board and management team.”
The Board would like to take this opportunity to express its sincere gratitude to Mr Brandler for his contribution to the Company as the Deputy Chairman of the Board and warmly welcome Mr Kadoorie to his new position in the Company.
