Together, Adam and Jesus bring years of experience from working across the luxury restaurant scene, Jesus from Richard Caring’s Le Caprice and Adam, with his Michelin Star restaurant, Trinity.

Since its September 2019 opening, Charlie’s has been a popular Mayfair haunt welcoming local neighbours and the international crowd alike. Named after Lord Charles Forte, the restaurant celebrates its British heritage whilst playing a pivotal role in the evolution of great British cuisine alongside European influences.

Every plate of food is designed to delight, and is served with welcoming charm, seamless service and stylish sophistication. Expect to witness the power tables that Le Caprice was famed for.

The new à la carte menu features fresh, seasonal options and the famed traditional Silver trolley will continue to serve its daily specials such as Roast leg of lamb and Salmon en croute. Additionally, a special plant-based menu is available, as well as an enticing new list of British cocktails available at Charlie’s Bar.

At the helm of Charlie’s kitchen is Head Chef Matt Starling, who harks from Fera at Claridge's and Restaurant Manager, Abigail Clark, who joined at the beginning of 2020 from across the globe working at high-end establishments in Asia.

Adam comments: ‘We have made so much positive progress over the past two years in my role as Chef Director for Brown’s. Pandemic aside I couldn’t be prouder of the team overall. Now we begin our work on creating a serious destination Mayfair restaurant in Charlie’s, the first stage of which is welcoming onboard the brilliant Jesus Adorno, as the legendary ex Maitre d’ at Le Caprice, we are excited to explore this next chapter of Charlie’s with Jesus. Exciting times...’

Jesus comments: ‘I was approached four years ago by Sir. Rocco Forte to join the family, however, the timing wasn’t right then. It is now and I am excited at the prospect of taking Charlie’s to its highest level and working closely with Adam and his talented team’.

Brown’s, established in 1837, is quintessentially English with an unrivalled history as London’s first hotel, as well as being home to the capital’s first public dining room. It has since served royalty, presidents and literary greats alike. Rocco Forte’s only London hotel is located in the heart of Mayfair and Charlie’s revel in the hotel’s illustrious history and brings back the excitement of great British cooking.

Guests at Charlie’s are surrounded by botanical utopia, original wood panelling, with exclusively- commissioned bespoke wallpaper by Adam Ellis as well as artwork from contemporary artists from John Martin Gallery and bespoke pieces from acclaimed and Icelandic artist Kristjana S Williams.
