Comprising five individual lodges in stunning settings, Six Senses Bhutan creates a miraculous journey through this tiny Himalayan kingdom where happiness is the national measure of success.

Sally comes to the role with a wealth of experience enhanced by the rich diversity of cultures in which she has worked over two and a half decades. In her most recent role, Sally led development and pre-opening operations for 700,000 Heures in Cambodia, a concept from the founder of Morocco’s legendary Dar Ahlam. Prior to that, she embarked on a consulting career in her native New Zealand at the Split Apple Retreat in Tasman.

Describing herself as a born adventurer, Sally began her professional career as the food and beverage manager of Bali’s Amankila, then moving to roles at prestigious Nihiwatu and COMO Shambhala Begawan Giri, also in Bali. Returning to Aman Resorts, she relocated to Myanmar as general manager of The Strand in Yangon, a position that she held for five years before being assigned to open Amanbagh in India, an award-winning contemporary take on the Rajasthani palace hotel.

Over the course of her tenure with Aman, Sally has also served as general manager at Amankila and Amandari, and played a leadership role on the pre-opening team at Amanfayun in Hangzhou, China. As general manager of Amansara in Cambodia from 2011 to 2016, Sally developed a range of meaningful guest experiences that support profitable and sustainable opportunities for the local community.

With boundless energy, Sally finds time for favorite pastimes of yoga and trekking. She is thrilled to take up her new position in such an inspiring destination as Bhutan while expanding her keen interest in holistic wellness and love of nutritious food preparation and well-being. Sally will be based in Thimphu.
