THE AMERICAS

Global Hyatt has made Mark Hoplamazian its President and Chief Executive. He came from the Pritzker Organization (Hyatt's owners) of which he was the President following a career in international mergers and acquisitions at First Boston. At Hyatt, he replaces Douglas Geoga who recently resigned to form his own hospitality investment firm.

Greg Ashley has been named President and Partner at the newly established Kor Group Real Estate Company. Ashley joins Kor after fourteen years at Intrawest.

Craig Neilsen, the Chief Executive Officer of Ameristar Casinos, unexpectedly died. The company has named President John Boushy as its new Chief Executive Officer. Ray Neilsen, Vice President of Operations (and Craig Neilsen's son) was named Co-Chairman, along with Gordon Kanofsky. Craig Neilsen had been Ameristar's Chairman and Chief Executive Officer since the company's inception in 1993.

The Kor Group has appointed Tom Hendrick Executive Vice President, Acquisitions and Development, to be based in Dallas. Hendrick was most recently the Vice President of Development for Mandarin Oriental. In addition, he has served in senior development positions with Rosewood and Regent.

Colm O'Callaghan has been appointed Vice President Managing Director for the Trump International Hotel and Tower in Chicago. He will be reporting to Chief Operating Officer Jim Petrus, who joined the Trump Organization following sixteen years with Hyatt and twelve years with Starwood. O'Callaghan most recently transited the Méridien Chicago into the Hotel Conrad Chicago as General Manager. He had previously been the Hotel Manager at the Peninsula Chicago.

Cornell hotelier Robert Foster has joined the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess as General Manager, taking over for Kiaran MacDonald, who has been promoted to General Manager of the Savoy London. Foster had been the General Manager at Noble House's Caleo Resort before being promoted to President of the group.

André Boersma is the new General Manager of Operations at Querencia in Los Cabos. This is a return to Mexico for Boersma who had been the Resident Manager at the One&Only Palmilla, Fiesta Americana and Esperanza, all in Cabo San Lucas. Since 2005, he had been the Senior Vice President and General Manager at the One&Only Ocean Club.

Carlos Blanco has taken over from Peter Bowling as Managing Director of Jumby Bay. An eight-year Rosewood veteran, he was previously the Resident Manager at Caneel Bay, following seven years in various positions at Las Ventanas Al Paraiso.

The Ritz-Carlton Palm Beach has appointed Brad Cance General Manager. Cance had been the General Manager of the Ritz-Carlton St. Louis for the past two years. He has also served as Hotel Manager at the Ritz-Carlton Naples Golf Resort. Prior to joining Ritz-Carlton, he spent ten years with Four Seasons in Chicago, Vancouver and Seattle.

Patrik Horstmann has joined New York's Hotel Gansevoort as General Manager. He comes from the Shore Club in Miami, a property he joined in 2002 as Rooms Division Manager and was promoted in 2005 to Director of Operations.

Tod Morrow has been appointed General Manager of the Ritz-Carlton Atlanta. He transfers from the Ritz-Carlton Buckhead where he was the Hotel Manager. He was previously at the Ritz-Carlton Naples.

David Gibbons has been named General Manager of the soon-to-be-renamed Ritz-Carlton Boston. The 1927 landmark has been acquired by Taj International. Until a few months ago, Gibbons spent twenty one years with Swissôtel where his assignments included General Manager at New York’s Swissôtel, The Drake for three years and the Swissôtel Boston for twelve years. Following the closure of the Drake, he had accepted the position of General Manager of Boston's landmark Lenox.

Erica Qualls has been appointed General Manager of the Atlanta Marriott Marquis. She joined Marriott in 1993 and was previously the Hotel Manager and Director of Human Resources for the hotel.

Antoine Berberi has joined Thompson Hotels and will be working as General Manager to manage and convert the existing Wall Street District Hotel in New York City. He comes from the Westin Governor Morris in New Jersey where he was the General Manager. For eleven years, he was in various positions with InterContinental in Al Ain, Dubai, Bali, Miami and New Orleans.

James Scott has taken over as General Manager of Discovery at Marigot Bay on the island of St. Lucia, operated by Grace Leo and Associates. Scott takes over from Patrick Brizio who has relocated to Europe.

Susan Santiago has been appointed General Manager at the Hyatt Key West. She has worked with Hyatt for over fourteen years in food and beverage in Lake Tahoe, Phoenix, Newport Beach, New York and Orlando. Most recently, she was the company's Corporate Food and Beverage Director.

Todd Iacono has joined the Hotel Zaza in Dallas as General Manager. He was most recently the Hotel Manager for Horst Schulze's soon-to-open Hotel Solis in Chicago. Previously, he held the position of General Manager at the Pasadena Hilton, the James Hotel in Scottsdale and the Hotel Maritime in New York.

Mark Violante will be the General Manager/Project Manager for Peter Moore and Associates. The firm is developing a 60-unit high-end condo hotel in Manhattan's Nolita. Since 2003, Violante had been with the James Hotel Group with his most recent position as Chicago-based Director of Operations.

Simon Chen has been appointed Chief Operating Officer for Skylar Management Company, a restaurant group with five restaurants in Colorado. He comes from the Vail Cascade Resort and Spa where he served as Hotel Manager. Previously, Chen was with Ritz-Carlton in various positions in Bachelor Gulch, Tyson's Corner, Naples, Puerto Rico, Atlanta and Sydney.

Sergio Ortiz has been named General Manager of the Driskill in Austin. He comes to Austin from the Houston based Lancaster Group where he was a Managing Director.

Peggy Benua was recently named General Manager of the South Beach Marriott. She was formerly the Resident Manager at the Eden Roc Renaissance Resort and Spa, also in Miami Beach.

Bruno Vergeynst has been appointed General Manager for Palisades Development Group's soon-to-open lifestyle hotel near Los Angeles International Airport (formerly the Furama). He comes from Hotels AB where he was the General Manager at Sunset Beach and the Assistant General Manager at the Standard Miami. Vergeynst also worked with China Grill Management at New York's Hudson and Hotel Gansevoort.

Patrick Sturgeon is the new General Manager at Two Bunch Palms in Desert Hot Springs. He comes from the Cliffs in Shell Beach, a sister property in the Boutique Hotel Collection where he was the Hotel Manager. He has previously held positions at the Cincinnati Regal Hotel, the Eldorado Hotel in Santa Fe and the Hotel Teatro in Denver.

Dale McDaniel has been named Managing Director of the Hyatt Regency Lake Las Vegas Resort, which will be renamed the Loews Lake Las Vegas Resort. He most recently served as the General Manager of the Loews Royal Pacific Resort in Orlando.

Martial Thevenaz has been named General Manager at the Kiana Resort Villas at Playa Dominical in Costa Rica. For the past four years, he had been at Amanresorts' Hotel Bora Bora, most recently as the General Manager.

Arte Nathan is retiring from Wynn Resorts where he was the Chief Human Resources Officer. In the past twenty four years he opened or worked with all nine casinos owned by Steven Wynn. Nathan's successor is David Carroll, formerly the Vice President Human Resources, Central Division, for Harrah's Entertainment.

Fred Lawlor has been named Vice President, Procurement, for Fairmont Raffles Hotels International. He was most recently the President and General Manager at Avendra Canada since 2001.

Eric Malcolmson has been appointed Vice President, Development, at Fairmont. He joined the company in 2002 as Director, Real Estate Development Group and was promoted to his most recent position as Executive Director, Development, in January 2006. In addition, he has previously held positions with Colliers International and Price Waterhouse Coopers.

Patricia Berry will be joining the Sports Club LA in Washington, DC as General Manager. She was until recently the General Manager of Kimpton's Hotel Monaco Washington DC. Berry spent twenty years with Ritz-Carlton, serving in various positions at the corporate office as well at Ritz-Carlton properties in Boston, New Orleans, Amelia Island, Atlanta, Hawaii, San Francisco, Phoenix, Houston, and Rancho Mirage.

Pablo Migoya has joined Grand Hospitality (Soho Grand and Tribeca Grand) as General Manager of the Sheraton Suites on the Hudson, in Weehawken, New Jersey. He spent the past five years with Thompson Hotels, first as Director of Sales and Marketing for 60 Thompson, then as Regional Director of Sales and Marketing for the Thompson Hotel Group.

Tjeerd Brink has joined the Pechanga Hotel and Casino in Temecula as Chief Financial Officer. Since 2001, he had been the Director of Finance at the Palms Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.

Starwood has appointed Todd Thompson Chief Information Officer. He comes from JetBlue Airlines where he was Chief Information Officer since 2003.

Patricia Campbell has been named Chief Operating Officer of the Keystone Resort. For the past six years, she had been with the Breckenridge Resort as Director of Skier Services.

Hooters Casino Hotel in Las Vegas has named Gary Gregg Chief Operating Officer. Gregg has previously served as the General Manager at the Hollywood Casino Shreveport and the Regency Casino by Hyatt in Greece, the largest casino in Europe. Gregg has also served in several executive positions with Hilton, including President of both the Las Vegas Hilton and the Flamingo Hilton Laughlin.

Peter Wirth has been appointed Executive Advisor to the Dalton family for TWT Hospitality. He will be developing the Filadelfia Coffee Resort & Spa in La Antigua, Guatemala. He has added to the hotel's staff Jose Antonio Dominguez, who was previously the Director of Operations at TRIO in Costa Rica. In addition, Christian Alban, a Chilean national, will oversee the kitchen as Executive Chef.

David Hoemann has been hired to be San-Francisco-based Joie de Vivre Hospitality's first Vice President of Food and Beverage. He was most recently the Senior Vice President of Marketing and Creative Services for the Compass Group – The Americas.

Rainer Schwarz has been named Vice President of Culinary Operations for Skylar Management Company in Colorado. He was most recently the Executive Chef at the Lodge at Vail and previously oversaw the kitchens at the Vail Cascade Resort and Spa, the Viceroy in Santa Monica and the Sky Room Restaurant in Long Beach.

Thomas Henseler has been promoted to Corporate Food and Beverage Director for the Villagroup Los Cabos. He was previously the Chef and Food and Beverage Director at their Villa La Estancia property for two years. In addition, his previous experience includes assignments with Marco Polo's Omni Saigon Hotel as Chef and various positions with Méridien and Hilton in South America, the former Soviet Union, the Middle East and Asia.

Guy Bittner has been named Director Food and Beverage at the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise. He joined Fairmont in 2003 as Banquet Manager for the Fairmont Winnipeg and, in 2004, was promoted to his most recent position, as Director of Food and Beverage at the hotel.

Isle of Capri Casinos in St. Louis has named Julia Carcamo to the position of Vice President of Brand Marketing. She joins from leadership positions at Wynn Resorts and Harrah's.

Sharon Cohen has taken over the role of Director, Loyalty Marketing, at Fairmont. She joins the company's Corporate Office from her most recent position as Director, Sales and Marketing, at the Fairmont Le Chateau Frontenac.

Scott Halpert has been appointed Director of Sales and Marketing at the Westin Copley Place taking over the position left vacant when Sean Reardon left four months earlier. Halpert was with Marriott for seventeen years, most recently as Director of Sales and Marketing at the Boston Marriott Copley Place.

Michelle Gilman-Jasen has been promoted to Regional Director, Sales and Marketing, California, for Fairmont. She first joined the Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn in September 2002 as Director of Sales and Marketing, following three years at the Fairmont San Francisco as Director of Group Sales and Director of Sales. David Burt replaces her in Sonoma after being promoted from Director of Sales.

Gayle Elliott has been appointed Director of Marketing and Sales for the Bradley House Hotel in Palm Beach. Previously, she had been in sales and marketing at the Palm Beach Airport Hilton, the Radisson in Washington DC, and the Macon Hilton in Georgia.

Paul Boyle has been named Director of Sales and Marketing at the Trumbull Marriott. He was previously in a similar role at the Westin Stamford.

Leary O'Gorman has joined Resortquest at Snowmass in Aspen as Director of Sales and Marketing. He comes from the Telluride Convention and Visitors Bureau where he was the Executive Director and was previously the Vice President at the Albuquerque Convention and Visitors Bureau.

Alex Gregory has been promoted to Director of Sales and Marketing at the Wild Dunes Resort. He was most recently the Director of Group Sales at the resort.

Cynthia Lee Boyett has joined the newly opened Four Seasons Westlake Village as Director of Catering and Conference Services. She was previously handling catering and conference services at the Four Seasons Miami and the Mandarin Oriental Miami.

Terence Sullivan has been named Director of Sales and Marketing at the Hilton Bellevue in Washington. He was most recently the Director of Sales at the Lodge at Rancho Mirage. In addition, he has previously been the National Sales Manager at the Ritz-Carlton Marina del Rey and the Miramonte Resort in Indian Wells.

Jed Arrogante is the new Sales Manager, US and International Small Markets, for the newly opened US Grant in San Diego. He comes from the Claremont Resort and Spa where he was a Senior Sales Manager.

Nigel Hurst has joined HEI Hospitality as Senior Vice President Human Resources. Previously he was the Senior Vice President, Human Resources, for Unilever United States.

Roland Rutjens has been promoted with ARAMARK to Resident District Manager for the two Boston convention centers. His previous title with the company was General Manager and was based in Las Vegas. Before joining ARAMARK, he served as General Manager at Emeril's Chop House in Orlando and Planet Hollywood in New York.

Drew Deckman has accepted the position of Executive Chef at Querencia Los Cabos. He comes from the Villa del Arco also in Cabo where he was both Executive Chef and Food and Beverage Director. He also spent time this year as Executive Chef at Raffles L'Ermitage in Beverly Hills.

Azmin Ghahreman, formerly the Executive Chef at the St. Regis Monarch Beach, opens Laguna Sapphire and Pantry this month in Laguna Beach. Joining him from the St. Regis are Tin Vuong and Eric Cummings. Vuong, previously the Executive Sous Chef at the St. Regis, joins as Corporate Chef. Cummings joins as Executive Chef after working as Chef de Cuisine at Motif.

After eight years, Executive Chef Marc Ehrler is leaving the Loews Miami Beach, a property he opened, to transfer, in a similar position, to the Loews Ventana Canyon in Tucson. There, he takes over from Philippe Trosch. Prior to joining Loews in 1998, Ehrler was the Executive Chef at the Ritz-Carlton Marina del Rey, the Ritz-Carlton Kansas City and the Ritz-Carlton Cancun.

Randy Belanger takes over from Rainer Schwarz as Executive Chef at the Lodge at Vail. He was previously the Executive Chef at the Vail Cascades Resort.

Rory Dunaway has been named Chef of the newly opened Culinary Center by Viking at the Ritz-Carlton Cancun. He will be teaching cooking classes for guests. He was most recently at the Ritz-Carlton Amelia Island.

Neil Piferoen has been named Executive Pastry Chef at the Willard Intercontinental in Washington DC. He comes from the Park Hyatt Los Angeles where he was the Pastry Chef.

Michiel Lugt has joined Peter Island in Tortola as Assistant Food and Beverage Director. He was most recently at the Grand Rodina Hotel in Russia as Assistant Food and Beverage Director.

David Patterson has been named General Manager at Opus Restaurant in Los Angeles where he joins former colleague Josef Centeno from the former Meson G. Patterson comes from Sam Nazarian's Abbey where he was Project Manager.

Richard Dean has transferred to the Mandarin Oriental San Francisco as Sommelier/Beverage Manager. He comes from The Mark Mandarin Oriental where he had been since 1996, most recently as the Master Sommelier/Beverage Manager. The Mark is due to close at the end of December.

Hakan Kocak is the Restaurant General Manager for the new rooftop restaurant at the Huntley Hotel in Santa Monica. He was most recently overseeing Fresco at the Beach, previously Michel Richard's Citronelle in the Santa Barbara Inn. In addition, he has previously held various food and beverage positions at the Peninsula-run Quail Lodge and the Peninsula Beverly Hills.

David Erlich has been promoted to Regional Spa Director for Fairmont Spas and will be responsible for the spa operations at four Fairmont hotels in California and Hawaii. He joined Fairmont in 2002 as Director, Spa Operations at the Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn & Spa. Prior to that, he held various positions at the Grand Wailea Resort on Maui.

Kimberly Wisenbarger has joined Chatham Bars Inn as Spa Manager. She was most recently at Canyon Ranch in Massachusetts as the Associate Spa Director.

Debra Shinn has joined Wynn Las Vegas as Director of Resort Services, overseeing the Spa, Fitness Center, Salon and Concierge. For the past two years, Shinn had been at the Peninsula Beverly Hills as Rooms Division Manager. She was previously in the Santa Barbara area as Director of Sales and Catering at the San Ysidro Ranch and the General Manager at Fess Parker's Wine Country Inn and Spa in Los Olivos.

Michael Simmons has been named Spa Director at the Umstead Hotel & Spa in North Carolina, scheduled to open January 2007. Simmons most recently launched the St. Julien Hotel and Spa in Boulder. He previously served as Spa Director at the Watermark Hotel and Spa in San Antonio and the Lodge at Rancho Mirage.

EUROPE

Andrew Shaw has been appointed Development Director for Accor in the United Kingdom and Ireland. He previously held positions at TRI Hospitality Consulting, the M&S Pub Co. and was most recently with Knight Frank Hotels.

The Domina Hotel Group appoints Georges Midleje as Regional Operational Leader, Centre and South Italy. He will be based in Rome at the Domina Roma Capannelle slated for opening March 2007. He has previously worked with InterContinental Hotels and Ciga Hotels in Italy. He comes to Domina from the Hotel Bernini Bristol in Rome where he was the General Manager.

Peter Bowling has been named General Manager of Horst Schulze's Capella Castlemartyr, soon to open in County Cork, Ireland. The 104-room historic manor will feature a luxury spa and an 18-hole golf course. Bowling spent the past four years as the Managing Director of Rosewood's Jumby Bay, prior to a four-year stint as the Managing Director of Villa Nova in Barbados.

Jorgen Jorgensen is the new General Manager at the Regent Esplanade in Zagreb. He was previously the General Manager at the InterContinental Dubai and the InterContinental Aphrodite Hills Resort.

Emmanuel Schott has taken the position of General Manager at Concorde's Chateau Hotel Mont Royal near Paris. Schott had been working for Concorde Hotels for fourteen years and was most recently the Vice President of Sales for the company.

Maximilian Newiger is the new General Manager of the Palace Merano Espace Henri Chenot. For the last seven years he has worked in Switzerland as Director of Sales and Marketing at Badrutt's Palace Hotel in St. Moritz, the Park Hyatt Zurich as well as the Radisson SAS Hotel in Lucerne.

Lionel Alvarez has joined Aqua Pura in Portugal as General Manager. He had recently been the General Manager at the Castillo Hotel Son Vida in Spain. He previously served as the General Manager at Paraiso de la Bonita in Mexico, the Hotel Bora Bora in Polynesia and the Hotel Beau Rivage on Mauritius.

Fernando Rojo has joined the Hotel Casa Fuster in Barcelona as General Manager. He was most recently the Area Director for Eurostars Hotels and previously the pre-opening General Manager at the Grand Hotel Rodina. In addition, he previously served as the Hotel Deputy Director at the Hotel Claris, also in Barcelona.

Charles Head has transferred as General Manager of the Fairmont St. Andrews in Scotland. He joined Fairmont in 1991 as Front Office Manager at the Fairmont Waterfront and has previously held various positions for the company in Vancouver and Whistler. In 2003, he was promoted to his most recent position as the General Manager of the Fairmont Winnipeg.

Praveen Ramessur has been appointed Executive Assistant Manager of the Opera Hotel in Kiev, scheduled to open December 2006. He moves within the company from the Donbass Palace where, for the past two years, he was the Rooms Division Manager. Previously, he has worked at the Sands Resort in Mauritius and with Hilton in the United States.

Greg Garnes is the new Director of Food and Beverage at the Renaissance Amsterdam. He has worked for Marriott International for the past eighteen years in such locations as Seattle, Chicago, San Francisco, Prague, Moscow, the Philippines and most recently Ho Chi Minh City.

Julia Faulhaber has been promoted to Director of Sales and Marketing at the Hotel Baur au Lac in Zurich. She was most recently the Director of Sales and Marketing at the Park Hotel Vitznau and was previously the Reservations/Revenue Manager at the Kempinski Grand Hôtel des Bains in St. Moritz.

Jean-Paul Capitaine is taking over the kitchen of the Praia del Rey Marriott Golf & Beach Resort in Portugal. He was most recently the Executive Chef at the Blau Privilege Porto Petro Beach Resort & Spa in Spain.

Murat Oguz has been appointed Executive Sous Chef at the Millenium Hotel Sloane Street London. Prior to this position he has worked for Swissôtel both in London and Istanbul in addition to the Kempinski Hotel Ciragan Palace in Istanbul.

ASIA AND THE PACIFIC

Peter Lowe has been promoted to Vice President Hotel, Sports and Recreation Operations for Hong Kong Disneyland. Since May, he had been their General Manager Hotel Operations and was previously the General Manager of the Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong.

Michael Di Lonardo has been named Chief of Operations at Aamby Valley City, a 10,000-acre development creating an entire new city in India. He comes from the Hotel Fauchere in Pennsylvania where he was Co-General Manager with wife Jennifer Hazen. He also logged ten years with Amanresorts at Amanwana and Amanpuri.

George Slover has been appointed to the Food and Beverage and Culinary Team of Mandarin Oriental at their Hong Kong corporate office and will initially function as Food and Beverage task force leader attached to the Oriental Singapore. Most recently, he had briefly returned to the Ritz-Carlton South Beach as Maitre d'Hotel after running o-R-o in South Miami as Operating Partner. He had previously spent two years at the Ritz-Carlton, following several assignments with China Grill Management.

Manfred Weber returns to Beijing with his transfer to the Ritz-Carlton Central Place as opening General Manager. He was most recently in Shanghai at the Portman Ritz-Carlton as Hotel Manager and previously toiled as Resident Manager at the Peninsula Palace Beijing.

Hector de Galard de Bearn has transferred as General Manager to the One&Only Kanuhurra in the Maldives, replacing Jan Tibaldi who transferred to the One&Only Saint Gérand in Mauritius. De Galard originally joined One&Only in January 2004 as Pre-opening General Manager of the still-delayed One&Only Saratoga in Havana. In 2005, he was made General Manager of the One&Only Le Touessrok in Mauritius.

Francois Cnockaert has rejoined Ritz-Carlton as opening General Manager for the Ritz-Carlton Guangzhou, slated for opening in early 2007. He comes from Jakarta where he was the General Manager at the Hotel Mulia Senayan. He had left Ritz-Carlton in May 2001, after eighteen years with the company.

Norbert Vas has transferred as General Manager to the Swiss-Belhotel Bali Bay View. He was most recently at the Swiss-Belhotel Golden Sand Resort, Hoi An in Central Vietnam, as General Manager. He also served for three years as Director of Sales and Marketing at the Mandarin Oriental Jakarta and as Director of Business Travel for Omni Hotels in New York.

Greg Dogan has transferred as General Manager and Area Vice President to the Makati Shangri-La in Manila. He takes over from Philippe Caretti who has left the company after thirteen years. Dogan was most recently a Shangri-La Regional Vice President based in Shanghai.

Christophe Lauras is the new General Manager of the Sofitel Galaxy Nanjing. He was most recently the pre-opening General Manager at the Novotel Beijing West.

Udo Doring has been named General Manager at the Novotel Baiyun Airport Guangzhou. Doring joined Accor in 2004 in Australia and then moved on to the pre-opening of the Grand Mercure Shijiazhuang.

Christophe Geoffroy is the new General Manager at the Sofitel Royal Lagoon Dongguan. He was most recently the General Manager at the Novotel Harbourview Hong Kong.

Gordon Aeria has been appointed General Manager at the Novotel Harbourview Hong Kong. He was most recently at the Sofitel Renmin Square in Xian as Executive Manager Marketing.

Paul Wong has joined the Grand Mercure Shijiazhuang as General Manager. He has recently joined Accor after many years working in Greater China with Holiday Inn and Zenith.

Troy Hickox has joined the Venetian Macau in pre-opening as Director of Front of House Operations. He was most recently the Assistant Director of Rooms at the Four Seasons Hong Kong and was previously with Peninsula Hotels in Hong Kong and New York.

Nicolas Gret is the new General Manager at the Novotel Ocean Dunes & Golf Resort in Phan Thiet. Most recently, he was the Resident Manager at the Sofitel Auberge de La Vieille Tour in Guadeloupe.

Nicolas Josi has been appointed General Manager of the Grand Mercure Hoi An. He joined Accor in 2004 as General Manager at La Residence Hotel & Spa Hue, also in Vietnam.

Philippe Battle is the General Manager at the Novotel Nusa Dua Bali. He was most recently the General Manager at the Mercure Resort Sanur Bali.

Sébastien Menesguen has joined the Ibis Arcadia in Jakarta as General Manager. Most recently he was the Deputy General Manager at the Ibis Portsmouth.

Olivier Moies Devel is the new General Manager at the Mercure Sanur Bali. He was previously in charge of two Ibis hotels in Jakarta.

Nicolas Lerat has been appointed General Manager at the Novotel Chumphon. He was most recently in charge of the opening of the Garden Cliff Pattaya (managed by Sofitel).

Arnaud Rouchon is the new General Manager of the Mercure Chonburi in Thailand. Most recently he was at the Sofitel Khartoum in Sudan.

Rodolphe Gay will be the opening Resident Manager at the Alila Phuket. He recently completed a two-year assignment as the opening Director of Food and Beverage at the Mandarin Oriental Dhara Dhevi, in Chiang Mai. Gay's credentials also include food and beverage management posts with the Boathouse and Villa Royale in Phuket, Parrot Cay in the Turks and Caicos, and Orient-Express' Bora Bora Lagoon Resort in Polynesia.

Gino Marasco has been appointed Director of Sales, Group, for the Ritz-Carlton Kapalua. He was most recently the Director of Regional Sales at the Sea Island Company in Georgia. In addition, he has held various sales and catering positions at the Grand Floridian Resort & Spa and Disney's MGM Studios Theme Park.

Kensuke Sakata has transferred to the Hilton Tokyo as Director of Sales. He was most recently the Assistant Director of Sales at the Hilton Tokyo Bay.

Langham Hotels has appointed Cheryl Yue to the position of Director of Global Sales – Asia. Before joining Langham, Yue was part of the pre-opening team for Le Méridien Cyberport as Director of Sales and Marketing. Prior to that, she had held senior sales positions with Shangri-La in Hong Kong.

The Hilton Tokyo has appointed Jamie Mead as Director of Business Development. Mead was most recently the Director of Business Development at the Hilton Brisbane.

The InterContinental Hong Kong has appointed Lolita Wong Assistant Director of Sales, Corporate. Wong previously spent eleven years at the Kowloon Shangri-La where she held various positions, most recently as Senior Sales Manager.

Also joining the InterContinental Hong Kong is Jason Lin as Assistant Director of Sales, Leisure. He joins from the Holiday Inn Golden Mile where he was Assistant Director of Sales for over five years.

Teresa Ho has been appointed as Director of Catering at the Regal Hong Kong Hotel. For the past fourteen years she has worked in Hong Kong including the Renaissance Kowloon and the Royal Garden.

Blondie Yeung has been appointed Group Communications Manager for Regal Hotels. She previously worked in various marketing and communications positions at the Eaton Hotel, the New World Renaissance, the Holiday Inn Golden Mile as well as Royal Pacific Hotels & Towers.

Leigh Ann Seto has left Win Sin in Singapore to join the Kahala Resort in Hawaii as Executive Pastry Chef. She has previously baked at the Hard Rock Hotel Bali, the Pan Pacific Hotel Singapore and the Grand Wailea Resort and Spa.

MIDDLE EAST AND AFRICA

Johnny Mathis has transferred to the Movenpick Resort Al Bidaa in Kuwait as General Manager. He was most recently at the Movenpick Taba as opening General Manager.

Frank Naulleau has transferred to the InterContinental Taba Heights in Egypt as General Manager. He comes from the InterContinental Sharm el Sheik and was previously the General Manager at the Century Swiss-Belhotel Jilin.

Klaus Lapp moves to Turkey as the General Manager of the Swissôtel Gocek Marina Resort. He was most recently at the Paradisus Puerto Rico as the Managing Director. Previously, he had been the General Manager at the Park Lake Hotel in Chile, the Swissôtel Lima and the Caesar Park Panama.

Jeff Ross is transferring back to the Arabian Gulf where he has accepted the position of Executive Assistant Manager at Le Royal Méridien in Abu Dhabi. For the past two years he had been in Seville as the Director of Six Sigma at the Hotel Alfonso XIII.

Janet Omido has been named Director, Sales and Marketing, for Fairmont operations in Kenya. She joins Fairmont from her most recent position as Senior Sales Manager at the Radisson Newport Beach. Previously, she has held various positions at the Windsor Court in New Orleans, the Hyatt Regency in New Orleans and San Diego. In 2003, she was appointed Senior Sales Manager at Walt Disney Parks & Resorts.
