Gigi Vega to Implement Excellent Standard of Service as General Manager of Nobu Hotel Las Vegas

As progress continues on the world’s first Nobu Hotel, Restaurant and Lounge at Caesars Palace, slated to welcome guests in fall 2012, the venture has announced Gigi Vega as general manager of Nobu Hotel. Vega will oversee the operation of Nobu Hotel, working with her team to implement the highest service standards and uphold Nobu and Caesars Palace experience expectations.

We are thrilled to announce Gigi Vega as the general manager of the Nobu Hotel at Caesars Palace”, said Chief Executive of Nobu Hospitality Trevor Horwell. “Her impressive depth of experience both internationally and domestically encompasses working with exceptional luxury hotel brands. Gigi is ideally suited in the role of general manager of the first Nobu Hotel given her keen sense of service which our Nobu guests are accustomed to receiving.”

Vega is no newcomer to the luxury hotel industry with nearly 25 years of experience in hospitality. She joined Caesars Palace in January 2009 as vice president of luxury hotel operations, successfully leading operations for the exclusive villas and luxury suites. Prior to joining the Caesars Entertainment family Vega held a 10-year tenure with Mandarin Oriental where she held esteemed positions including resident manager and assistant executive manager for the Mandarin Oriental, Macau and Manila brands, respectively.

“Caesars Palace and Nobu Hospitality are proud to have Gigi Vega leading the effort to deliver impeccable service and exemplary guest experiences at Nobu Hotel, Restaurant and Lounge,” said Regional President of Caesars Palace Gary Selesner. “Gigi has continuously raised the bar of luxury at Caesars Palace with her strategic customer service techniques and understanding of guest expectations, and we couldn’t be more pleased to have her at the forefront of our newest resort addition.”

As the world’s first Nobu Hotel, the innovative concept will integrate an exclusive hotel tower with the first Nobu restaurant and lounge on the Las Vegas Strip. The interior of the Centurion Tower at Caesars Palace will undergo a multi-million dollar renovation to create the 180-room Nobu Hotel at Caesars Palace, which will feature rooms and suites with a stylish interior design that showcases natural materials, fused with Nobu’s signature Japanese elegance. Nobu Hotel guests will enjoy private check-in and the unique benefit of room service from Nobu’s acclaimed culinary team.

The centerpiece of the renovation is the Nobu Restaurant and Lounge. Classically trained in Tokyo, world-renowned chef Nobu Matsuhisa has leveraged his life abroad in South America and around the world to create a culinary and hospitality brand with universal appeal. The restaurant and lounge will span 9,500 square-feet at the base of the Nobu tower, near the existing Appian Way at Caesars Palace.
