Hilton Worldwide today announced the appointment of Ellen Burke Van Slyke as director of restaurant development for the Americas region. In this role, Burke Van Slyke will be responsible for concept development of restaurant and bar solutions for Hilton Worldwide’s full service and luxury hotels in the Americas.
Burke Van Slyke joins Hilton Worldwide from Loews Hotels, a hotel company headquartered in N.Y., where she served as corporate creative director of food & beverage. In addition, she held numerous operations positions including overseeing the food & beverage departments at Loews Coronado Bay Resort in San Diego and Loews Ventana Canyon Resort in Tucson, Ariz. Prior to joining Loews Hotels, Burke Van Slyke owned and operated several restaurants in Tucson, Ariz. She will be based at Hilton Worldwide’s global headquarters in McLean, Va.

Burke Van Slyke received her bachelor’s degree with Wellesley College. She is a member of Hotel F&B magazine’s advisory board and a member of the James Beard Foundation.
