Pascal Camia's appointment as Director of the Hôtel Hermitage takes effect on 1st May 2011.

Currently Deputy Managing Director at the Monte-Carlo Bay Hotel & Resort, Pascal Camia was very involved in surveying the building works and the launch. For Monte-Carlo SBM’s youngest hotel, he has introduced an innovative policy to develop services whilst keeping a very close eye on proceedings to ensure that the Group’s first-class image is preserved.

In charge of all operational services at the Monte-Carlo Bay,he supervises the coordination between the commercial teams at the hotel and those working for the Group.

Always seeking new concepts for the departments such as accommodation, catering or the spa, he assists the Managing Director Sergio Mangini with all strategic decisions — financial, social and commercial — that concern the establishment.

After joining Groupe Monte-Carlo SBM en 1994,Pascal Camia was in charge of banqueting at the Hôtel de Paris from 1997 to 2003. He later joined the management of the Sporting Monte-Carlo where he made a name for himself by increasing the turnover of the Salle des Étoiles and by giving a new boost to Jimmy’z discotheque. At the same time, as he was in charge of catering in all the Monte-Carlo SBM casinos, he was involved in the creation of Mozaïk and the Circus and also worked on the development of the Group’s important catering service.

A graduate of the International University of Monaco and the catering college in Glion (Switzerland), Pascal Camia also has a master’s degree in economy from the University of Nice.
Aged 44, married with two children, he is an accomplished athlete who has taken part thrice in the Winter Olympics as a member of Monaco’s national bobsleigh team. Since 1997, he has been president of the Association Monégasque des Athlètes Olympiques.
