Jean-Pierre Siri's appointment as Hotel Director for International Development and Director of Hotel Services takes effect on 1st May 2011.

In this new role, he will, notably, be in charge of defining and setting up the services that the S.B.M. wishes to develop on an international scale. Jean-Pierre Siri is a member of the SBM Management Committee.

After studying at the Lycée Albert Ier (senior high school) in Monaco, Jean Pierre Siri was a brilliant student at the distinguished École Hôtelière – catering college – in Lausanne and then at the Cornell Hotel School in the USA.

His professional career started in 1981 with the Sheraton Group, first in Brussels then in Jerusalem where he was F&B Manager. The Société des Bains de Mer welcomed him in 1984 by appointing him to the position of Assistant Director of External Operations and the Monte-Carlo Beach Hotel. He then ran the Hôtel Mirabeau, until he was made head of the Hôtel Hermitage in 1993.

Since 2002, Jean-Pierre Siri has been involved in a huge project — the renovation and restoration of one of Monte-Carlo SBM’s finest hotels. Several wings of the hotel have been rejuvenated and modernised. Two storeys have been added to the Beaumarchais wing which now boasts 46 new bedrooms and eight remarkable apartments. He is following through the project with new work in 2010: the creation of a bar and vast meeting room, complete renovation of the gastronomic restaurant “Vistamar” and substantial works in the Midi and Costa wings.
Jean-Pierre Siri is an enthusiastic man who likes challenges.

He considers it a privilege to put his talents to use in the hotel trade. “This profession knows no monotony and there is never any question of giving up.
Based on team work, it generates an incredible motivation which is a source of mutual enrichment.”
