Beau Rivage, a Naïade Luxury Resort, is pleased to announce the appointment of Walter Lanfranchi as executive chef. Young and energetic, but packing impressive experience and expertise, the Italian-born chef has a passion for simple but flawlessly cooked food that lets the quality of the ingredients shine through.
Mr. Lanfranchi has a rich international background as an executive chef, having worked for prestigious global hotel groups in China, Singapore, Thailand and Dubai amongst others. Before joining Naïade, Lanfranchi was executive chef of the Shangri-La Hotel in Chengdu, China.
Lanfranchi plans to deliver seriously enticing food at Beau Rivage’s four restaurants: from healthy, simple but artfully made Mediterranean-inspired lunches and dinners on the beach at La Méditerranée, to superb Asian and exquisite seafood in the gourmet restaurants Indouchine and Le Langoustier. The vitality and complexity of Mauritian cuisine will become the shining star at Rive Gauche, enhanced by subtle nods to its Indian, Chinese, European and African origins.
With an unwavering commitment to impeccably fresh, locally grown or sourced produce, profound knowledge of and passion for the very diverse Asian cuisines, and clever use of spices and herbs, Lanfranchi’s leadership will ensure the kitchens of Beau Rivage delight and surprise guests with a dining experience like no other.
