New hire will broaden firm’s competitive leadership in hotel sales and financing
Jones Lang LaSalle Hotels today announced the hiring of industry veteran Bob Webster, who has joined the firm’s brokerage client service leadership in full service and luxury hotel investment sales and financing throughout the Americas.
“With the return of liquidity to the hotel investment and debt markets, there is a great deal of momentum working in our firm’s favor as we continue to serve the industry’s most prominent owners, investors, brands, operators and lenders,” said Arthur Adler, CEO and Managing Director of Jones Lang LaSalle Hotels. “The addition of Bob is a market-moving advancement for our firm and we are extremely excited to have his expertise and long-standing track record to better serve our clients. Bob has a stellar reputation with buyers and sellers as a consummate dealmaker who operates with transparency and integrity; which is a perfect fit for the Jones Lang LaSalle Hotels’ culture.”
In his new role as Managing Director, Webster will focus on harnessing his expertise to gain market share in full service investment sales across the Americas. In addition, Webster will be able to leverage Jones Lang LaSalle Hotels’ global platform to offer his clients a wider array of solutions, including debt financing, strategic advisory and asset management services. During his near 30-year career, Webster has demonstrated a commitment to putting his clients first while creating real estate and finance solutions. His expertise includes senior positions that span every segment of the hotel industry including operations, real estate consulting, development, brokerage and finance.
Webster joins Jones Lang LaSalle Hotels from Hodges Ward Elliott. He will operate from the firm’s Atlanta office, yet service clients throughout the Americas.
“I’m pleased to join Jones Lang LaSalle Hotels and I am excited about the opportunity to bring the benefit of a global platform of opportunities and solutions to my client base,” said Webster. “Jones Lang LaSalle Hotels’ client service philosophy matches mine and I’m looking forward to melding expertise to continue to drive value for our clients.”
Webster has been recognized by Real Estate Forum magazine as a “Superstar Investment Sales Broker” ranking him the third most productive investment broker in the country. He is currently one of three finalists for the prestigious Jack A. Shaffer Financial Advisor of the Year Award for 2010. Before holding a leadership role in the firm’s investment sales and financing services at Hodges Ward Elliott in 1989, Webster held the position of Director of Real Estate for the Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company. He also served as a prior hotel real estate consultant with Laventhol & Horwath in Boston. Webster also held management positions with Westin Hotels at the Plaza Hotel in New York City and at the Westin Copley Place, Boston. He is a graduate of the Whittemore School of Business and Economics at the University of New Hampshire.
