When ART Imitates Art
Every artist has a muse. Some, like Pablo Picasso, had many - at least seven at last count. Oh yes, the Father of Cubism loved beautiful women and immortalized them in his paintings, from his Rose Period to the end of his career.
Now, to celebrate Seattle Art Museum's landmark Picasso exhibition, ART Restaurant at Four Seasons Hotel Seattle (just across the street from the museum), has designed a menu inspired by the collection and, in part, the painter's muses.
Order Executive Chef Kerry Sear's "A Woman's Face" for dessert and you'll be delighted by a cubist vision rendered in flavours of pumpkin, huckleberry, Spanish Tempranillo wine and a chocolate pastry boat. He's also created a special prix fixe dinner menu featuring some of Pablo's favourite dishes - including recipes he prepared in his own kitchen.
But that's not all! Book the “Celebrating Picasso: Masterpieces from the Musée National Picasso, Paris” package and you'll also get one night of luxurious accommodation, two VIP tickets to the exhibit and a $50 credit to ART Restaurant, among other perks.
Travel to Four Seasons Hotel Seattle from October 8, 2010 to January 17, 2011 and a-muse yourself by learning more about Picasso's works (and women).
