Palo Alto's Urban Gem Benefits From an Artistic Dose of Spanish Elegance

As part of a $9 million property enhancement, Garden Court Hotel just unveiled its newly redesigned guestrooms by the acclaimed Spanish interior designer Pablo Paniagua. Garden Court Hotel's new guestrooms feature a luxurious and contemporary aesthetic with the latest technology. With its exceptional 62 renovated guestrooms boasting stunning custom furnishings and open floor plans, Garden Court Hotel thrives as Downtown Palo Alto's premiere luxury hotel and event venue.

Inspired by its sophisticated and charming location, Paniagua envisioned the hotel as a symbol of Downtown Palo Alto's urban and technological roots, connecting the city's status as a traditional business center with its exciting entertaining and dining options. With this in mind, Paniagua designed the new guestrooms to serve both as a relaxing retreat for leisure travelers and a functional, technologically advanced workplace for business guests and groups.

Sophisticated wood and aged mirror paneling decorates the walls, along with beautifully framed images of Palo Alto captured by Photographer Alan W. George. Upon entering the room, guests will immediately notice the rich blue or brown carpeting accented by an elegant geometric design. The bathrooms are equally striking, featuring stunning white-grey marble that compliments the silver fixtures and dark wood, with deep soaking tubs and rain showers. In addition, the technological amenities in each room include HDTV screens, iDesign Cube Clock Radios for iPods and complimentary wireless Internet access. Highlights of the modern guestroom amenities include Molton Brown luxury bath products, fine Italian linens by Rivolta Carmignani and a fresh bedside gardenia.

The European feel of the hotel's exterior is carried into the design of the guestrooms with two beautiful subdued color palettes that consist of various shades of white, mixed blues and an arrangement of browns and creams, both contrasted by old-fashioned bronze and black oak. The chic color scheme transitions guests from the energy and activity of Downtown Palo Alto to the serenity and relaxation of Garden Court Hotel. Additionally, the use of enameled and lacquered woods, combined with mixed metals and an array of high-quality upholsteries and fabrics such as silk and wood, achieve a luxurious and current look.

In keeping with the hotel's Mediterranean architectural design, the majority of the guestrooms include French doors and private patios that look out onto the open-air tiled floor courtyard and fountains. Guestrooms vary in amenities but many feature a separate aerated spa-tub, fireplace and breakfast nook. The premiere penthouse suite offers guests deluxe king accommodations, a

bathroom with separate aerated spa-tub, luxurious marble rain shower, an airy living room with private bar, fireplace, fresh flowers and two private landscaped patio gardens with fountain.

Garden Court Hotel's recent renovation also included an overall enhancement of its 7,000 square feet flexible meeting space.
