VOILÀ Hotel Rewards, the world's first, points-based hotel loyalty program created for independent hotel groups, is pleased to announce a recent high-profile award, the addition of a new redemption partner, and continuing member satisfaction with the program based upon a recent international survey.
For the second year in a row, VOILÀ was honored with a Silver Adrian Award for excellence in Web Marketing by Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International (HSMAI). The Adrian Awards are one of the travel industry's most prestigious competitions, honoring innovation and success in hospitality and tourism marketing annually. The win signifies VOILÀ's commitment to member satisfaction which was evident in the results of a recent survey among members from Romania, Spain and other countries.
The survey, conducted in fall 2009 by VOILÀ revealed areas where VOILÀ outperforms other hotel loyalty programs, and offered encouraging news for travel trends in the coming year. The results of the survey showed members anticipate travelling more for both leisure and business in 2010 and cites the ability to earn points at a variety of different locations worldwide a significant motivator. The majority of business travelers stated they could – within reason – select hotels or hotel groups of their preference. Their reward program sways their decisions, making them more likely to compromise on price and even hotel location for the opportunity to increase their point balances. The study also found that the majority of active members would recommend the VOILÀ program to friends and business associates.
"We found the results of the survey conducted with our members this fall simultaneously exciting and intriguing," said Gabi Kool, senior vice president and managing director of VOILÀ Hotel Rewards." The recent additions to our program offerings in the areas of hotel and reward redemptions obviously made a positive impact on the way members view and engage with VOILÀ, and the survey findings are also in line with the ongoing Net Promoter Scores we measure as part of the post-stay surveys and where VOILÀ receives high and positive scores from its members."
The first year of operation for VOILÀ also resulted in a review of the first full Return On Investment (ROI) analyses with the participating hotels in the program. Results were congruent with expectations and generated positive ROI results between 170% and 220% for the hotels.
Moreover, the program's recent partnership with Delta Air Lines allows members the opportunity to exchange the points they earn for hotel stays for Delta SkyMiles toward free flights. Airline miles are one of many ways members are rewarded for their loyalty to the program in addition to downloadable entertainment rewards from FirstClub.com and stays at any hotel in the VOILÀ network.
Lastly, members who typically redeem points for hotel stays also saw their options increase with the recent addition of the renowned hotel brand, Swiss-Belhotel International. As the newest member of the VOILÀ hotel reward network, members will earn points and enjoy rewards at over 30 Swiss-Belhotel International properties throughout Asia and the Middle East.
"VOILÀ will continue to leverage all we've achieved with the program in 2009 and lead it toward the next level of rewards and member satisfaction," continued Kool. "VOILÀ members have a lot to look forward to in the coming year with new hotels in Russia and Portugal joining the hotel loyalty program in early 2010, as well as several new redemption partners."
