Leading hospitality organization adds five new members to its collection
The Leading Hotels of the World is pleased to announce that it has recently accepted the following new member hotels into its rich, global portfolio of iconic, independent hotels:
Germany's Kameha Grand Bonn is an ecological lifestyle and design hotel located on the banks of the Rhine near the city center. With 253 rooms and suites, it offers color, warmth and atmosphere, while serving as a contemporary, forward-looking interpretation of the classic grand hotel. Among the dining options are Brasserie Next Level, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner; Riverside Terrace for relaxing meals in summer overlooking the Rhine; Elysion Lounge & Sushi Bar; Reingold Bar with terrace for cocktails drinks; Stage Lounge for exotic teas and coffees; and Baron Philippe de Rothschild Lounge for wines by the glass. The Kameha Spa and Power House Fitness offers a heated rooftop pool, sauna, steam bath, massages and beauty treatments. Meeting and conference facilities can accommodate up to 1,500 people.
Set across 230 hectares of olive groves and countryside, the Rocco Forte Verdura Golf and Spa Resort is situated on the coast of Sicily, close to Agrigento. Its 153 guest rooms enjoy sea views and private balconies or terraces, while 50 suites boast outdoor courtyard spaces and large terraces. Restaurants include La Zagara, for Mediterranean cuisine with Sicilian influences; Buongiorno, for buffet breakfast and children's dinners; Liola, for traditional pizza; Amare, specializing in fresh seafood, grilled fish and meat; and Bar della Piscina, Bar Grantita and Spa Bar for light meals. For recreation, the hotel offers a swimming pool, private pebble beach, tennis center, and two championship 18-hole golf courses, a 9-hole course and driving range, all designed by Kyle Phillips. There is also a 4,000-square-meter spa with 11 treatment rooms, a relaxation area, fully equipped gym, swimming pool, hammam, and sauna.
The Chateau Star River is located in the Pearl River area of Guangzhou, China, adjacent to the Panyu Bridge, and just minutes from the cultural heart of the city. Guest accommodations are in 205 rooms and 111 suites, sumptuously decorated and fitted with amenities required by today's international travelers. A variety of dining options provides a range of cuisines: Always Cantonese, serving authentic Cantonese fare for breakfast, lunch and dinner; E-Café, offering Western-style meals; Chuan Kitchen, specializing in Szechuan dishes; Chateau Grill, featuring French delicacies in a fine-dining atmosphere; the Lobby Bar for afternoon tea; and the Wine and Cigar bar. Leisure facilities include indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a spa, sauna, fitness center, tennis courts and a nightclub. Meeting and conference facilities can accommodate up to 950 people.
Slated to open early 2010, Trump SoHo New York is situated in Manhattan's vibrant SoHo neighborhood, with easy access to Tribeca and the Meatpacking district. Rising 46 stories, the hotel boasts 245 rooms and 146 suites, featuring floor-to-ceiling windows with unrivaled views of the city's spectacular skyline, including the Statue of Liberty, Empire State Building and the Hudson River. Its stylish restaurant, Quattro, serves northern Italian cuisine. In addition to The Spa at Trump, there is a fitness center with Technogym equipment, and an outdoor pool. There are 12,000 square feet of meeting and conference facilities, including an elegant ballroom, private boardrooms, and SoHi - an event space on the 46th floor with panoramic views.
The Leading Small Hotels of the World has added the following property to its roster:
Located in the heart of the Blue Mountains World Heritage Area, Wolgan Valley forms the centerpiece for unique experiences and insights into Australia's wildlife, history and cultural heritage. Reminiscent of traditional rural homesteads, it features individual suites with private decks and swimming pools, separate living and sleeping areas, and double-sided fireplaces. Breakfast and dinner are served in the main homestead. The Country Kitchen serves lunch and informal meals throughout the day, while The Valley Bar & Terrace offers panoramic views of the Wolgan Valley below. For leisure, there are guided walks, four-wheel drive safaris, horseback riding, and aboriginal interpretative tours, a swimming pool, gymnasium, and sauna, as well as The Timeless Spa offering a range of relaxation and beauty therapies. There are also private meeting and conference rooms for up to 50 people.
