Pan Pacific Hotels Group has announced the appointment of David Wong as Vice President, Technical Services.

Drawing on his expertise in design, development, construction and value engineering in pre and post-opening hotel projects, David, in his new appointment, will play a key role as leader and consultant in technical services. By benchmarking all specifications, and performance measures of technical services against the competition and in accordance with in-country governmental bodies, he will maintain a distinctive edge for all of Pan Pacific Hotels Group’s properties in line with highest standards of quality in technical asset management.

David’s vast experience in the hospitality industry began with Hyatt International where he spent five years in Brunei as Director of Operations, assisting with the Royal family’s business and investment interests. His last appointment was Director of Projects, Technical Services, with Shangri-La Hotels & Resorts. Based in Hong Kong, David was tasked with the opening of several large-scale hotel projects, the most recent being the flagship Shangri-La Hotel Tokyo.

“David’s diverse background in architecture, design, management consultancy and project management will be an asset to the team as we work to realise our growth strategy,” said A. Patrick Imbardelli, President and CEO, Pan Pacific Hotels Group.

“This is an exciting chapter for Pan Pacific Hotels Group and I am delighted to be part of it,” said David Wong. “I fully look forward to leading the charge in ensuring the highest quality and standards are met in asset refurbishment or new constructions for the Group’s hotels - in accordance with the positioning of our Parkroyal and Pan Pacific brands.”
