Luxury Hotel Group Will Now Track Sources of All Reservations, Provide Maximum Revenue Exposure for Properties
CARINO Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, a sales and customer information company dedicated to assisting independent luxury hotels worldwide, is pleased to announce it will be launching a new Global Distribution System (GDS) code in the first quarter of 2009. With the addition of the GDS code, the organization's members will now be able to see and track directly the measurable results that CARINO Hotels & Resorts Worldwide has and will continue to deliver.
CARINO Hotels is pleased to announce the new chain code as "UN", which, from an advertising and marketing perspective, can be used creatively in a variety of advertising promotions to ensure maximum retention by the B2B and B2C segment. President Joe Carino is confident that the portfolio of independent upscale member hotels will embrace the "UN" chain code and it will become well known and easy to identify - "UN"forgettable!
In addition to providing the ability for member hotels to track the source of all reservations, the GDS code also opens up new opportunities for exposure and promotion of the individual properties. Seamless connectivity allows members to enter their data once and feed it across multiple channels, providing maximum exposure to all customers whether they are complying with corporate hotel programs or leisure travelers booking via their travel agent.
CARINO Hotels & Resorts Worldwide code will now feed information to major travel agency systems including Sabre, Amadeus/Apollo/Galileo, and Worldspan that connect directly to more than 600,000 travel agencies worldwide. In turn, these systems also power consumer travel websites such as Orbitz, Travelocity and Expedia, to name a few. The new GDS code will also allow CARINO Hotels & Resorts Worldwide members to reach both businesses and consumers concurrently for the very first time ever since the organization's inception in 2002.
"We are very excited that through the launch of the new CARINO Hotels & Resorts Worldwide GDS code, we can offer our members a complete package - sales tools, marketing, and now revenue and reservation services," said Charlotte Mordaunt, Vice President of Revenue & Reservation Services for CARINO Hotels & Resorts Worldwide. "This gives our members the opportunity to maximize their exposure through online distribution, as well as provide a tool for CARINO Hotels & Resorts Worldwide to better brand and market our hotels."
CARINO Hotels & Resorts Worldwide will be using SynXis as its central reservation system provider. Through the partnership, consumers will be able to book reservations at member hotels from CARINO's new branded website (scheduled launch; Q1, 2009) or from the hotels' own websites.
"After seven successful years of operation, we felt the timing was perfect based on our new business direction, added value, data-mining capabilities, and cost containment initiatives for our clients, to launch CARINO Hotels & Resorts Worldwide chain code; "UN"," stated Peter M. Kressaty, Senior Vice President. "We did extensive research to determine not only what two letter chain codes were available throughout all the major Global Distribution Systems (GDS), but also considered the travel agent community knowing they will be the "working bee" behind the success of our new GDS chain code and campaigns."
