It Now Also Becomes the Temple of Gastronomy During Weekends in Geneva

The Hôtel de la Paix, the first « Boutique-Hotel » of Geneva, offers an extraordinary gastronomic experience to all gourmets during week-ends. The new Gourmet Package invites all the epicures to a gastronomic trip through a Mediterranean buffet and an atypical brunch, all in a cosy lake-view setting.

On the accommodation side, this unique experience begins at the arrival to the Hotel which benefits from an extraordinary environment on the shores of Lake Geneva affording sweeping views of Mont-Blanc. Hôtel de la Paix offers incomparable surroundings which combines traditional elegance and contemporary charm in the heart of Geneva city.

On the gourmet side, Chef Jérôme Manifacier, already 15/20 at Gault & Millau 2009, launches an invitation for guests to savour culinary pleasure. Festivities begin on Saturday night in the historical Alabama Salon with an “around the Mediterranean Buffet”, tapenade on toasted canapés, fish bouillabaisse worthy of the olden Marseilles harbour and a New Orleans-style jazz musical band.

Gastronomy lovers will enjoy the Sunday brunch especially created to discover new flavours. The Hôtel de la Paix buffet offers a Smoothies bar, the occasion for each guest to create his own juice with fresh fruits according to his mood. With the precious help of the barman, guests will not be able to resist this diet custom drink. To ensure that everyone enjoys their dining experience, an area dedicated to children has been designed.

Also, during the “Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie” that is taking place in Geneva from January 19th to January 23rd 2009 the Chef is partnering with the luxury watch brand Maximilien de Busser & Friends to inaugurate a special menu called “Diamant Noir”. All the dishes of this black diamond menu will have a truffle flavour, to bring all the guests senses alive. Moreover, the pastry chef Emmanuel Lebled has created special watch-shaped deserts to satisfy the sugar cravings.
