In response to demand from overseas, The Celtic Manor Resort, home of the 2010 Ryder Cup in South Wales, United Kingdom, is launching an International Membership for its prestigious Twenty Ten Club. Dedicated entirely to those based outside of the UK, golfing enthusiasts from around the world can now be a part of one of golf’s most prestigious events. The International Membership costs £2,000(US $ 3,010 ) for an annual subscription.
Celtic Manor’s International Membership offers a number of impressive perks including a coveted season ticket to the tournament between Europe and America in 2010, the opportunity to purchase another one, and full use of the spa and leisure facilities at the five star resort. Both tickets include hospitality places in a members’ pavilion at the Ryder Cup.
Dylan Matthews, Chief Executive of The Celtic Manor Resort, said: “We have been delighted to see so many international visitors come to play The Twenty Ten Course since it opened last summer.
“Many of them have been so impressed that they would like the opportunity to return on a regular basis and make themselves a real part of The Ryder Cup in 2010 – the biggest sporting event ever to come to Wales.
“It gives me great pleasure to launch this International Membership which reflects the worldwide stature of The Ryder Cup and the world-class standard of our facilities at The Celtic Manor Resort.”
Whilst the Twenty Ten remains the signature course for the Ryder Cup in 2010, two more championship courses, Roman Road and The Montgomerie, also form part of this membership package. Keen golfers can take advantage of their membership privileges and enjoy a luxury stay with four complimentary room nights per year for two people in the five-star Resort Hotel - another advantage of joining.
Within two hours of London Heathrow and just 45 minutes from the city airports of Cardiff and Bristol, the Resort provides a home away from home which is readily accessible to people travelling from all over the globe.
Set in more than 1,400 acres of parkland space, Celtic Manor showcases a range of outdoor pursuits including tennis courts, clay pigeon shooting, fishing and mountain biking trails. Within the five star resort, guest can enjoy two luxury spas, fully equipped health clubs and a children’s activity centre for those aged newborn to eleven. Additionally, with a portfolio of outstanding restaurants ranging from the laid-back Lodge Brasserie to the gourmet taster menu at The Crown at Celtic Manor, guests are spoilt for choice on dining.
