Managing Director David Feder of The Fairmont Turnberry Isle Resort & Club recently announced the appointment of Rita Healy as hotel manager for the Mobil Four-Star 392-room retreat.
Healy brings more than 25 years of industry experience to the legendary resort and is responsible for assisting the managing director, along with overseeing day-to-day operations and service delivery.
“Rita’s history with Fairmont Hotels & Resorts and outstanding knowledge of all facets of guest services is very valuable to our success,” said Feder. “We’re thrilled to have her and know she’ll make an excellent contribution.”
Prior to joining The Fairmont Turnberry Isle Resort & Club, Healy served as director of operations for the AAA Five Diamond Fairmont Olympic Hotel in Seattle, Wash., and in several supervisory positions at The Fairmont Scottsdale Princess Resort in Scottsdale, Ariz., including director of front office operations, front office manager, associate director of conference services and national sales manager.
Healy has a bachelor’s degree in hotel & restaurant management from Moorhead State University in Minnesota and holds a Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) accreditation.
Secluded on 300 tropical acres, The Fairmont Turnberry Isle Resort & Club completed a $150 million renovation in December 2007 and features 392 spacious guest rooms and suites, two championship Raymond Floyd-redesigned 18-hole golf courses, a world-class tennis center, the exclusive, award-winning Willow Stream Spa and fitness center, a new lagoon-style pool, a diverse selection of restaurants, including Michael Mina’s BOURBON STEAK, a 40,000 square-foot conference center, a private Ocean Club and supervised children’s program.
