All Guestrooms, Meetings Space and Public Areas Receive Upgrades

Located in the heart of the Irvine Concourse, the Embassy Suites Irvine - Orange County Airport, today announced the completion of a $6 million renovation. The project included upgrades to all guestrooms, public areas and meeting space.

"The entire property has been re-envisioned, from our inviting lobby to the soaring 10-story glass atrium," said Thomas Economos, general manager. He noted that new lighting, furnishings and decor accent the spacious atrium where guests enjoy daily, complimentary cooked-to-order breakfast and the evening manager's reception. "Essentially, the renovation allows us to provide an even better product to our guests and ensures that our guests will enjoy the best hospitality experience Southern California has to offer."

The hotel's 293 guest suites, each with 500 square feet of living space, were completely re-designed with new desks and wireless, high-speed Internet access. New marble-topped wet bars featuring built-in refrigerators and microwaves also were added, as well as flat-screen TVs to the rooms' parlor and bedroom.

Additionally, the Embassy Suites added a 700-square-foot, state-of-the-art fitness facility featuring new Precor(R) equipment. The hotel's heated indoor pool and whirlpool also were completely redone.

The new Ha'Penny Pub, located just off the atrium, serves an innovative blend of Irish and American delicacies for lunch and dinner. The restaurant is newly built on the former location of the hotel's pub.

The renovation also included upgrades to its 2,200 square feet of meeting space. Boardrooms received hand-polished wood tables with built-in electrical, phone and HSIA connections, as well as new lighting package. The hotel's State Room, a 20-person, fixed seating classroom, added a new ceiling-mounted data projector.
