Marriott International, Inc. (NYSE:MAR) has named Johara Haniffa regional vice president brand marketing for the Asia, Pacific and Australia region, reporting to Belinda Pote, senior vice president brand marketing.
“We are proud and excited to welcome Johara to Marriott, and congratulate her on her appointment,” said Ms. Pote. “Johara’s extensive experience managing brands and strong leadership skills are key qualities that will make her a success in her new position.”
In her new role, Ms. Haniffa will develop and lead all brand positioning and marketing strategy for Asia Pacific. This responsibility spans five lodging brands: JW Marriott Hotels & Resorts, Marriott Hotels & Resorts, Renaissance Hotel s & Resorts, Courtyard by Marriott and Marriott Executive Apartments.
Ms. Haniffa has more than 15 fifteen years of experience in the advertising and marketing field. Most recently, she served as business director with Young & Rubicam based in Hong Hong.
Ms. Haniffa is a graduate of RMIT in Melbourne, Australia. She resides in Hong Kong.
