Benchmark Hospitality International has announced the promotion of Greg Parsons to vice president and general manager at Eaglewood Resort & Spa, located near Chicago. Sam Haigh, president of Benchmark, made the announcement.
“Greg has consistently excelled in his leadership throughout his 11-year tenure with Benchmark Hospitality, successfully leading the management teams at three of our properties,” said Mr. Haigh. “I am so pleased to announce his promotion, which will include expanded managerial responsibilities.”
In his new role, Mr. Parsons will continue to provide top leadership for Eaglewood Resort & Spa as well as oversee The Council House, an exclusive international conference center for SC Johnson, a Family Company, and Wingspread, a private conference center for the Johnson Foundation, both located in Racine, Wisconsin. Parsons will also assume senior level oversight responsibilities for Benchmark Hospitality’s The Founders Inn and Spa, located in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
Mr. Parsons previously held the title of managing director of Eaglewood Resort & Spa. Through his effective leadership, the property has consistently been a top performer, including capturing and maintaining the coveted Four Diamond award, as well as top guest and employee satisfaction ratings. He came to the resort as general manager.
Parsons has also served as general manager for Benchmark's Stonewall Resort in Roanoke, West Virginia, which he opened. He joined Benchmark as general manager at The Northland Inn near Minneapolis.
Throughout his tenure with Benchmark Hospitality, Greg Parsons has actively assumed additional responsibilities within the organization, serving as field staff support and mentoring new property leadership.
Mr. Parsons earned his bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management from Ferris State University, located in Big Rapids, Michigan. He resides in Lake Zurich, Illinois, with his family.
