Six Senses appoints Jamie Waring as Chief Operating Officer
Six Senses’ Bangkok Hub, March, 2008: Six Senses Resorts & Spas has appointed Jamie Waring as Chief Operating Officer. He takes up this role from his previous position as Managing Director of the Six Senses Spas group. His core duties will include overseeing the operational aspects of the resorts managed under the brand names Soneva, Six Senses Hideaways, Six Senses Latitudes and Evason, plus Six Senses Spas and Six Senses Destination Spas.
Jamie joined Six Senses as Deputy Managing Director of Six Senses Spas in March 2005. He was then promoted to the Managing Director role to guide the growth of the Six Senses Spas group. Jamie came to Six Senses from his previous role with David Lloyd Leisure – a division of Whitbread PLC, Europe’s largest leisure company - where he held the role of Regional Manager, overseeing several Health and Racquet clubs in the South of England. Prior to that role, his passion for health and fitness was fulfilled when he joined Holmes Place PLC, where he was Group Manager for ten years. Jamie began his business career in London’s financial district as a money broker trading currencies on the international markets.
