Who are the teachers who will be involved in the course?

The course will be directed by Ashok Som, professor at the Management Department of ESSEC Group. Each class will be led by an expert in his or her field, selected from the best of both schools.
"Our lecturers are often active in the industry: they teach, and they have a foot in the industry, to be always consistent with the world of the current industry," says FrancineCuagnier.

Do professionals have to put their activity on hold to benefit from this training?

"The course is given online and is aimed at the 30 participants. It allows participants to keep their professional activity, as it is very flexible. Lessons are given online and a lot of teaching material (videos, documents...) is available on a learning platform. This allows students to progress at their own pace",adds Ms Cuagnier.

"We do not recommend that students stop working, but rather that they take four weeks off work to attend the face-to-face weeks. They are compulsory and very attractive. They bring a lot to the participants in terms of networking, teamwork and are key in the training" she adds.

How much does the course cost?

The total cost of the course is CHF 42,000 (~€42,000).
This cost includes tuition fees and the costs of the residency weeks (workshops, field visits to companies and lunch).
Accommodation costs, breakfast, dinner and travel expenses and each campus are not included.

How was the programme constructed?

“The programme was built in partnership with ESSEC," says Ms Cuagnier. It took us several months to find the ideal programme and to highlight the synergies between the strengths of ESSEC and Glion. We are always aware of the needs of the industry, and we have an Industry Advisory Board that advises us and recommends choices. It is through these different echoes and insights from both sides that we have formed the curriculum for this programme," she explains.

Why did you create a joint programme?

This partnership is a first between our two schools and is the result of regular interaction and an obvious complementarity. Both schools are renowned in their respective fields. While Glion has been renowned since 1962 for its excellence in the hotel industry, ESSEC has been focusing for over 100 years on executive education to meet the challenges of the future and relies on a network of over 65,000 alumni.

Trainees will be able to build and strengthen their network during their training, especially during the 4 weeks in residence. Upon graduation, the graduates will join the Glion and ESSEC alumni community, which opens up a network of over 75,000 professionals.

"We are very excited about this partnership with ESSEC, which really brings expertise in executive education. This partnership will help us attract a new audience. We are bringing all our expertise in hospitality, which is our core business. We really see this partnership as a potential success," says Ms Cuagnier.

*The Master is accredited by 3 international labels: AACSB, EQUIS and NECHE (in the process of being certified).
