The World’s most luxurious hotel is recognised at the Conde Nast Traveller Reader’s Choice Awards 2007
Burj Al Arab, the world’s most luxurious hotel and part of Dubai based luxury hospitality group Jumeirah, recently collected a top accolade at the Conde Nast Traveller US Reader’s Choice Awards 2007, held in New York recently.
The world famous Burj Al Arab, Jumeirah’s flagship hotel, was awarded the much-coveted title of Best Resort in Middle East and Africa at the prestigious ceremony.
The event, hosted by Alan Cumming and Debra Messing, was themed ‘The Power of Travel’ and marked the 20th annual Reader’s Choice Awards for Conde Nast Traveller. The results are derived from the largest independent poll of consumer’s preferences, the Reader’s Choice Survey, second only in size to the US Census; and this year a record number of over 28,000 readers voted.
Marco Nijhof, Senior Vice President, Jumeirah, Gulf Region, commented: “As a young and rapidly expanding luxury hospitality company, Jumeirah is proud to have been recognized at the Conde Nast US Reader’s Choice Awards this year. We would like to take this opportunity to thank readers of Conde Nast Traveller who have recognized Burj Al Arab as the leading luxury hotel in the Middle East and Africa. At Burj Al Arab, as with the rest of the Jumeirah Group, we are truly committed to our guests, and our promise to Stay Different. We would like to thank all of our Jumeirah colleagues for their continued hard work and dedication to surpass guest expectations.”
