Since December 9, 2024, Lufthansa has been offering a new non-stop connection between Munich (MUC) and São Paulo (GRU). The route is served three times a week by an Airbus A350 - one of the most modern and fuel-efficient aircraft in the world.
The flights between the two cities depart from Munich on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 11:45 a.m. and land in São Paulo at 8:15 p.m. The return flight from São Paulo to Munich then takes place on the same day at 10:05 p.m. (local time) with arrival in Munich the next afternoon at 1:40 p.m. All flight times are arranged so that passengers can easily reach connecting flights from or to São Paulo.
The new connection further strengthens the economic and cultural ties between Germany and Brazil.
For Munich in particular, Brazil is now the fifth most important overseas tourist market. In 2024, the Bavarian state capital was able to record an increase of around 17 percent in the number of overnight stays compared to the previous year.
