Over 45 member hotels worldwide will host bespoke activations, exclusive guest experiences, and creative content that explores the profound role design plays in shaping extraordinary journeys.
This exceptional Week of Design brings together some of the world’s most iconic and stylish luxury hotels to honor a shared commitment to the art of hospitality. Design: The Leading Hotels of the World is a visual journey into the design philosophies and stories that define these remarkable properties, available for purchase from November 17.
To accompany the book’s release, original social media content will spotlight the talented minds behind some of the world’s most celebrated hotels.
Highlights include an intimate interview with designer Alex Kravetz, whose work is featured at The Landmark London; a look at Michael S. Smith’s design narrative for Jacques Bar at The Lowell, New York; and a conversation with the acclaimed architect Bill Bensley, whose work at Capella Ubud in Bali is nothing short of visionary.
As part of the Week of Design, guests are invited to immerse themselves in curated exhibitions and experiences that celebrate the creative spirit. At The Hutton Hotel in Nashville, acclaimed photographer and music producer Aaron Fishbein will host a cocktail event, playing music that is inspired by the album art that decorates the hotel’s vibrant interiors. Meanwhile, in New York, The Knickerbocker will feature Robert Malmberg’s “Beautiful Beast” exhibition, a collection of fine art prints that pay homage to the city’s timeless charm.
In Portugal, São Lourenço do Barrocal will offer architect-led tours, inviting guests to discover the deep connections between local craftsmanship, repurposed heirlooms, and the creation of a sustainable, authentic farm experience. At Singular Patagonia, architect Pedro Kovacic will lead guests through a design-focused exploration of this remote yet sophisticated property, highlighting its seamless integration into the rugged natural landscape.
For those seeking a more immersive design experience, Villa Cora in Florence will offer guests the rare opportunity to learn the centuries-old craft of silk-making in one of the city’s most storied ateliers. At Paradisus Los Cabos, renowned photographer Ricardo Pisano and the hotel’s sensory architect will lead an exclusive photographic tour, uncovering the hidden design gems and secret spots of this breathtaking desert oasis.
As part of this celebration, Leaders Club members can take advantage of an exclusive offer: double points on bookings made from November 18 to 25, 2024, at any of the 70+ design-forward hotels featured in the new book. Members will enjoy these enhanced rewards when booking stays within three months of the promotion period.
The Leading Hotels of the World’s Week of Design is a unique opportunity to engage with the design stories behind some of the world’s most extraordinary hotels, bringing together art, architecture, and the very essence of exceptional hospitality.
