Each Hotel Indigo is as unique as its location, drawing vibrant inspiration and energy from the local culture, aiming to immerse guests in authentic experiences and forge genuine connections with its neighbourhoods.
With this ethos at its core, Hotel Indigo Bandung Dago Pakar brings the essence of the destination to life through its unique sights, sounds, and flavours.
"Hotel Indigo Bandung Dago Pakar is a tribute to the rich tapestry of Sundanese culture and the natural splendour of Bandung. We are thrilled to open the doors to a retreat where every detail reflects the vibrant spirit and natural beauty of this beloved neighbourhood. From our carefully curated design to our locally inspired dining experiences, every detail tells a story of Dago Pakar's heritage and charm,” said Pascal Caubo, Cluster General Manager, Hotel Indigo Bandung Dago Pakar and InterContinental Bandung Dago Pakar.
Perched 700 metres above sea level, the hotel offers a tranquil escape amidst the lush greenery and morning mists of Bandung.
Inspired by the local Sundanese word “Dagoan” or “to wait”, the hotel reflects the hospitality guests can expect as they explore the Dago Pakar neighbourhood.
The hotel's design integrates traditional Sundanese motifs and nature elements, such as cascading waterfalls, classic Bandung batiks, and folklore inspired by the nearby Tangkuban Perahu mountain.
Its 277 rooms and suites blend local charm with contemporary comfort, and the lobby, encased in floor-to-ceiling windows, showcases the picturesque views of the surrounding vistas.
At Hotel Indigo Bandung Dago Pakar, guests can savour a variety of dining experiences that celebrate local flavours and international cuisine, including:
- Joempa, the hotel’s main restaurant, brings the essence of the Dago Pakar neighborhood to life with its menu of savory and spicy dishes from West Java. Guests can savor cuanki, a Sundanese protein-rich broth, and batagor, fried tenggiri fish dumplings served with peanut sauce. The restaurant emphasises seasonal ingredients sourced directly from local farms and spice gardens, offering dishes that are as visually stunning as they are delicious, with modern cooking techniques and family-style sharing options.
- Dagoan Lounge offers an inviting space for enjoying snacks and drinks, capturing the lively spirit of the local community. The lounge reflects a warm hospitality that invites guests to linger and connect. Dagoan Lounge's design and concept incorporate neighborhood-inspired elements like vibrant graffiti, colorful mural art, traditional gerobak stalls, and batik ceramics, blending rustic charm with an art deco flair. With its playful décor and cozy seating, the lounge provides a perfect spot to relax and admire the sweeping views of the surrounding hills, bringing the essence of the neighborhood inside.
- Karbon, the rooftop restaurant and bar will open later this year. Experience an Asian grill and smokehouse concept, and drinks inspired by local heritage, such as playful twists on Sundanese drinks bandrek and bajigur, and infused with locally sourced coffee, tea and fresh fruits.
Additional amenities include Bandung's highest rooftop infinity pool which offers stunning views of the Dago Pakar vistas, and Kancil Club where children can play and be engaged with traditional Sundanese games and activities.
Nine stylish meeting rooms along with a spacious Grand Ballroom equipped with state-of-the-art technology will also be available later in the year, perfect for events ranging from intimate gatherings to large weddings.
Nestled in Bandung's northern reaches, Dago Pakar is a botanical hillside haven surrounded by tea plantations, lush forests, and natural waterfalls.
This area seamlessly melds Sundanese culture with European influences, earning the moniker 'Paris of Java'. Just a 30-minute high-speed train ride from Jakarta, guests can discover scenic attractions just moments from the hotel – from a tour of the city’s botanical gardens, Taman Hutan Raya Juanda, to an adventurous hike up Tebing Keraton to enjoy the sunrise from one of the highest points in Bandung.
The hotel also enjoys proximity to Djuanda Forest Park, a sprawling conservation area and botanical garden boasting over 2,500 plant species and endangered wildlife.
Its central location allows guests to explore the vibrant local community, indulge in Indo-Dutch cuisine such as pisang molen (banana wrapped in baked flour), and experience the lively folk-art scene with creatives, artists, musicians, performers, and writers.
