The Maldivian owned and founded hospitality company will be empowered through Sabre SynXis to uncover new revenue streams and enhance guest experiences.

Sabre Corporation (NASDAQ: SABR), a leading software and technology provider that powers the global travel industry, today announced a new agreement with esteemed Maldivian owned and founded hospitality group Sun Siyam Resorts.

The company, which has over 30 years of experience, owning and managing five affordable luxury private island properties in the Maldives and a boutique beach retreat on the East Coast of Sri Lanka, has selected a comprehensive suite of solutions from Sabre Hospitality’s SynXis, the leading global commerce and distribution platform, to grow both reach and revenue.

Sabre’s SynXis Central Reservations System (CRS) will serve as the cornerstone of Sun Siyam’s distribution infrastructure.

With the addition of SynXis Channel Connect, GDS connectivity and SynXis Booking Engine, Sun Siyam Resorts will be able to seamlessly distribute its room inventory on its direct channel, as well as to an extensive network of travel agencies worldwide, 600+ global OTAs, global distribution systems including Sabre’s own, and major global meta search engines such as Google, TripAdvisor and Kayak.

The brand has also subscribed to Sabre Hospitality’s Corporate Booking Tool to enable travel agents to manage wholesale bookings at its hotels.

Additionally, SynXis Retailing will empower Sun Siyam to personalize the booking journey, offering guests a curated selection of experiences, amenities, and wellness options during the reservation process.

The chain offers an array of experiences including whale watching, fishing, elephant safaris, and sandbank dining. Through SynXis Retailing it will be able to enhance pre-stay planning for guests while enhancing revenue opportunities.

“This collaboration marks a significant milestone for Sun Siyam Resorts as we continue our commitment to providing exceptional experiences for our guests,” said Deepak Booneady – CEO at Sun Siyam Resorts.

“With Sabre Hospitality’s comprehensive suite of solutions, including SynXis CRS and SynXis Retailing, we’re confident that we will not only optimize our room distribution strategy but also elevate the overall experience for our guests by offering personalized booking options.”

Founded by Ahmed Siyam Mohamed in 1990, Sun Siyam Resorts currently boasts five properties in the Maldives, and a boutique beach retreat on the East Coast of Sri Lanka, Sun Siyam Pasikudah, which underwent significant refurbishment and reopened in late 2023.

“We’re thrilled to embark on this journey with Sun Siyam Resorts with an agreement that underscores our dedication to innovation and enabling greater guest satisfaction for our hotel partners,” said Frank Trampert, SVP & Global Managing Director Commercial, Sabre Hospitality.

“Through our state-of-the-art solutions, Sun Siyam is poised to elevate its distribution and retailing strategy to new heights. We very much look forward to helping Sun Siyam Resorts to redefine hospitality excellence in Sri Lanka and the Maldives.”
