The wins have allowed LHG to maintain its leading position of holding the most Michelin stars for Cantonese fine dining in a single restaurant portfolio – A total of 7 stars across 5 restaurants in 5 hotels and resorts across the Greater China region.

The 8th edition of the renowned guide saw T’ang Court at The Langham, Shanghai, Xintiandi retain its One Michelin Star rating, a title it has held since the publication’s inception.

Ming Court at Cordis, Shanghai, Hongqiao also fared well, retaining its One Michelin Star for a fifth year running.

"We greatly appreciate Michelin’s recognition of T’ang Court and Ming Court for their consistent delivery of elevated Cantonese dining experiences. These prestigious wins clearly reflect Langham Hospitality Group’s unwavering commitment to culinary excellence and we look forward to continue bringing extraordinary cuisine and services to our restaurants globally,” LHG chief executive officer Bob van den Oord said.

Michelin’s assessment period for the guide ran through most of 2023, during which Mainland China’s protracted post-COVID recovery posed some challenges for Shanghai restaurants.

But despite the headwinds, LHG managed to not only maintain, but enhance, the skills, service and quality at its eateries in the city, which continues to be a vibrant and dynamic dining hub and a destination of choice for urban tourism.

One Michelin-starred T’ang Court at The Langham, Shanghai, Xintiandi has offered a rich selection of authentic Cantonese delicacies for many years now.

The culinary team there, led by Tony Su, nevertheless continues to innovate and create exquisite dining experiences by adopting only the highest quality ingredients.

Set against a gracefully chic backdrop of contemporary Chinese art, Michelin-starred Ming Court at Cordis, Shanghai, Hongqiao boasts an equally sophisticated menu comprised of classic Cantonese dishes.

Executive Chef Qian Lin crafts his creations using a mix of locally grown and artisanal ingredients to deliver truly exceptional gastronomic experiences.

Looking beyond cuisine, the service staff at T’ang Court and Ming Court have been equally as crucial to the success of their respective restaurants as their culinary counterparts.

Both teams deliver impeccable and personalised care and support to patrons, and are widely known for their consistency and dedication to creating luxurious dining experiences.

The Michelin award-winning LHG Greater China hotels and their accolades are as follows:

The Langham, Hong Kong - T’ang Court - Three Michelin Starred
The Langham, Shanghai, Xintiandi - T’ang Court - One Michelin Starred
Cordis, Hong Kong - Ming Court - One Michelin Starred
Cordis, Shanghai, Hongqiao - Ming Court - One Michelin Starred
Eaton, Hong Kong - Yat Tung Heen - One Michelin Starred
Langham Place, Guangzhou - Ming Court - Bib Gourmand selection
