$13 Million Renovation Features 'Rain' Wine Bar and Lounge and More
The Torrance Marriott Hotel, located at the heart of renowned South Bay, announced today the completion of a $13 million transformation. After the final phase of its two-year renovation, the hotel now features a dramatic two-story lobby backdrop; the Marriott Revive(R) bedding package in all 487 guest rooms and suites; and wall-to-wall enhancements of the grand ballroom and function space, including a new 5,000 square-foot ballroom.
"We are thrilled with the outcome of the renovation," said Pam Ryan, general manager. "Guests will be equally surprised with the décor, public space improvement and a breathtaking arrival experience."
The hotel offers a new dining and lounge atmosphere for guests driven by comfort and style, from the traditional Starbucks Marketplace to its new signature "Rain" Wine Bar and Lounge. "Rain" infuses an "Asian-vibe" and boasts two 26-foot water features. It offers an array of specialty wines by the glass with a unique pairing of indigenous menu items which can be enjoyed in the newly created outdoor Zen-like garden setting complete with fireplace and pits. The surrounding environment complements the transformation by adding small touches of lighting and color to music.
Meeting attendees and business travelers will enjoy an array of options, state-of-the-art fitness center, indoor/outdoor pool and much more. Guests can stay connected on the road with Wi-Fi Internet access available in the public space -- and coming soon, the new plug-n-play guest room technology. Additionally, the hotel offers 22 meeting rooms and 30,000-square feet of flexible meeting space for wedding, social and corporate events.
