A recognition that EHL Group dedicates to all in the hospitality industry.
The Michelin Guide 2021 honors the Berceau des Sens, which maintains its top position amongst the best following an extraordinary year with its share of surprises, difficulties and uncertainties. EHL's educational restaurant was awarded a Michelin star for the third consecutive year, even though this year no ceremony was held due to the pandemic and sanitary restrictions.
"I am of course honored and flattered by this recognition. Our team was able to find solutions, and our entire community mobilized itself to enable students to continue to learn excellence in a gastronomic setting," said Cédric Bourassin, Chef at Berceau des Sens. "But at the same time, it is with a heavy heart that we acknowledge this award. More than anything else, I hope that our fellow restaurateurs here and elsewhere can put on their apron, put on their chef’s hat and be able to have a positive restart. The hospitality industry has suffered tremendously this past year. I dedicate this star to all the restaurant owners who were unable to live their passion this year," he added.
"I would like to thank the entire team at the Berceau des Sens, who has perfectly illustrated the dedication and determination of our staff during these uncertain times. The students who have trained at our educational restaurant during the pandemic will have an unprecedented view of crisis management, and I am convinced that they will come out of it all better prepared to face a world that never ceases to surprise us," concludes Michel Rochat, CEO of EHL Group.
The Berceau des Sens, and the entire EHL community, are looking forward to being able to reopen the doors of the EHL Lausanne Campus to the public and share together many flavors, experiences and goodwill.
May 2021 bring us closer and unite us in the love of gastronomy.
