Deutsche Hospitality is expanding and restructuring with a more international focus in sales, too. The new position of “Director Leisure Sales International Hotels” has been created for the Leisure Sales division. This will be filled by Fotis Fakes from this August. The German-Greek has many years of experience in the travel industry, most recently he was responsible for the development of the hotel portfolio at DER Touristik in Greece as well as for the DER brands marketing and sales in the same country.

With the Steigenberger Golf & Spa Resort on Mallorca, the recently opened hotels in Tunisia, Steigenberger Hotel Kantaoui Bay and Jaz Hotel Tour Khalef in Sousse, the upcoming opening of the Steigenberger Thalasso & Spa, Hammamet and the planned Steigenberger brand resort on the Cape Verde islands, the Deutsche Hospitality portfolio of international resort hotels is taking shape.

Benjamin Richter is taking responsibility for the Leisure Sales Central European Hotels division from this August. He has nine years of professional experience in the tourism industry. He has been working for Deutsche Hospitality in Sales since May 2016 and is now also taking on extra responsibility there. “We are delighted about our growth over the last few years and we are creating even better sales structures for our portfolio with this step,” COO Thomas Willms, whose responsibility the Sales division falls under, explains the organisational and personnel changes at Deutsche Hospitality.

ABOUT DEUTSCHE HOSPITALITY

Jaz in the City branded hotels reflect metropolitan lifestyle and draw upon the local music and cultural scene – the first Jaz hotel opened in Amsterdam in 2015. IntercityHotel offers more than 40 upper mid-range urban hotels, all of which are located within easy walking distance of railway stations or airports. A further 26 hotels are currently at the development stage. This means that the Deutsche Hospitality portfolio currently encompasses a total of 130 hotels on three continents.
