Under the expert tuition of award-winning professional ballroom and Latin dancer, Marius Caluser, brides and grooms-to be, getting married at Claridge’s, can be guided through a uniquely choreographed set offering everything from an elegant waltz or foxtrot to a passionate tango or rumba guaranteed to impress and charm their guests and ensure their first dance, in the glamorous backdrop of Claridge’s magnificent art deco ballroom is one to remember for many years to come.
Couples who envisage themselves as the next Ginger Rogers and Fred Astaire will be invited to a private Mayfair dance studio where Marius will offer them an introductory lesson and should they wish to wow their guests with a specially choreographed dance Marius can put them through their paces with further lessons. The final rehearsal will take place the art deco surroundings of Claridge’s ballroom after which they will be able enjoy champagne at the Fumoir.

Claridge’s Director of Events, Mathilde Maitre, adds, “Claridge’s has long been synonymous with hosting the most glamorous weddings in London and I am thrilled that we are partnering with such a renowned choreographer to offer Claridge’s brides and grooms a unique experience for their special day”.
The First Dance classes in partnership with Marius Caluser are available to all Claridge’s brides and grooms. The classes will take place in a private Mayfair dance studio and if couples wish to arrange a series of classes the final rehearsal will take place at Claridge’s followed by champagne at the Fumoir. The preliminary dance lesson is complimentary for all brides and grooms getting married at Claridge’s and further lessons can be arranged directly with Marius Caluser.
Claridge’s has long been famous for hosting some of the most glamorous, romantic and celebrated weddings in London and the iconic art deco setting makes it the perfect backdrop for the First Dance.
ABOUT MARIUS CALUSER
An award-winning professional ballroom and Latin dancer, Marius is both a teacher and choreographer, working across the UK and overseas and in 2011, he moved to London to pursue his career as a teacher and choreographer. He spent 3 years freelancing with a global franchised dance studio where, by 2013, he was ranked in the top 3 teachers worldwide. In early 2014, before deciding to leave the studio to focus on solo projects, Marius was awarded as Top Male Teacher and Best Solo Choreographer. His bespoke private lessons and workshops are tailored to meet the individual needs of his students. He has an acute eye for detail, demanding the highest standard of performance from himself and inspires those he is teaching to follow suit.
