Four Seasons Resort Punta Mita, a five-star luxury resort tucked into the lush landscape of the Riviera Nayarit, will welcome guests this winter to an elevated oceanfront paradise crowned by a fully reimagined Apuane Spa and expansive redesign of two of the Resort’s top luxury suites, Sol and Luna. The multi-million dollar renovation, set for completion November 2016, will also include a sophisticated transformation of the adults-only Tamai Pool.
“Infused with the heart and soul of Punta Mita, our reimagined spa and redesigned luxury suites along with our additional Resort enhancements all serve a singular purpose – to provide our guests with soulful spaces and experiences that will envelop them in the magic of our oceanfront address,” says John O’Sullivan, General Manager, Four Seasons Resort Punta Mita. “Inspired by our picturesque white sand beaches, the turquoise waters of the Bay of Banderas, and the colourful culture and energy of the native Huichol people, the new Apuane Spa will serve as both a sanctuary of relaxation and a refuge for total rejuvenation.”
Four Seasons Resort Punta Mita commissioned Kollin Altomare Architects and interior designer Anderson Miller to lead the extensive redesign and expansion of Apuane Spa. Drawing inspiration from the region’s native Huichol Indians and the natural beauty of Punta Mita, the sanctuary-inspired spa will feature a new reception area adorned with Mexican-inspired artifacts and products from Dr. Hauschka Skin Care and Hydropeptide, experts in natural and restorative skin care. A new relaxation courtyard centred around a serene fountain and reflexology pool, and shaded beneath an authentic palapa and lush indigenous foliage, will offer a space for spa guests to ease blissfully in and out of treatments.
The reimagined Spa will offer 13 expanded treatment rooms, including two new treatment rooms and a private Apuane Suite featuring a secluded courtyard ideal for romantic retreats, bridal showers and girls' spa getaways. The newly expanded beauty salon will include a separate area for brides, offering a private space for pre-wedding pampering. Full service changing rooms for men and women will offer the pinnacle of relaxation and advanced hydrotherapy, including hot and cold pools, therapeutic ice fountains and cold showers, eucalyptus steam rooms and saunas, and luxurious changing areas with full amenities. Enhanced fitness facilities and new classes will complete the wellness experience at Four Seasons Resort Punta Mita.
Designed in tandem with the new Spa by Anderson Miller, the reimagined and expanded Sol and Luna Suiteswill offer the pinnacle of luxury accommodations in Punta Mita with Mexican-inspired décor, sweeping private terraces, private infinity pools and multiple luxurious indoor and outdoor living spaces. Doubling in size with an expanded footprint of nearly 7,000 square feet (650 square metres), the Sol Suite will feature five ocean-front bedrooms and is set upon a private clifftop with endless ocean views (starting rate: USD 9,000 per night). The four-bedroom Luna Suite will offer more than 5,000 square feet (465 square metres) of living space, panoramic ocean views from virtually every room and new private infinity pool (starting rate: USD 7,000 per night).
The transformed adults-only Tamai Pool, designed by Victor Jimenez of Studio 365, will draw upon the work of local Mexican artisans to create a contemporary style infused with organic materials, evocative of the region’s natural beauty. Guests will have seemingly endless spaces for sunbathing and lounging, with plush sunbeds, hammocks, hanging chairs and palm-roofed palapas, all crafted with natural materials and Kravet fabrics, sourced from an exclusive collection created for the Museum of Mexico. A shaded restaurant and pool bar will offer a seasonal menu of libations and light fare, while seven private cabanas will be available for those seeking the utmost in poolside privacy.
