A Zimbabwe national, Brighton started his career with the exclusive North Island Seychelles, subsequently joining Constance Hotels & Resorts – one of the Indian Ocean’s leading luxury brands. Prior to his recent promotion, Brighton held the position of human resources manager. In his new enlarged role, he will continue to oversee all aspects of the hotel’s human resources operations, catering for nearly 300 employees.
Working closely with the hotel manager and department heads, the main objective is to attract and retain the best available talent whilst making sure that the current people are motivated and engaged.
“As a director of human resources, the focus is on the bigger picture, ensuring that as a hotel, we attract the right people at the right time for the right position. Together with the department heads, we will ensure that all employees are given the best opportunities to realise their full potential in an excited and totally committed way. We will ensure that Kempinski Hotel Ajman remains the employer of choice in the Northern Emirates,” Shereni said.
