Holiday Inn Madrid – Las Tablas due to open at the beginning of quarter three this year will operate under a franchise agreement with Gestion T3 Hotels who operate four other IHG hotels in Spain. The 133 room hotel is a conversion from an existing hotel, where a renovation project is already under way and is set to provide improved facilities for its guests.
Upon completion, the refurbished hotel situated in a new business district in Las Tablas is set to attract domestic and international business travellers, providing guests with a friendly and efficient service.
The area is fast becoming a commercial hub, and the hotel will be neighbours with the likes of Telefonica, Citigroup, Alcatel-Lucent, Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria (BBVA) and Philips who have also taken advantage of the district’s central location and business potential. The Ifema Madrid exhibition grounds and Barajas International Airport are 10 minutes away by car and the area is well connected to the city centre via major roads and public transport.
IHG’s Director of Development for Spain, Hylko Versteeg, said: “It is a pleasure to have signed this deal with our partners Gestion T3 Hotels. The hotel is situated in an area of important economic growth for Madrid and the Holiday Inn branding together with a very nice renovation, will put the property on the map as a contemporary, comfortable and service friendly Holiday Inn.”
Ton Lodder, Owner of Gestion T3 Hotels said: “After a very positive experience in Madrid, Valencia, Alicante and Elche, we are pleased to add another franchise contract with IHG and look forward to develop future projects together.”
