Le Touessrok, flagship of Sun Resorts and member of The Leading Hotels of the World, has been awarded the ‘Ultratravel Best Hotel in Africa/Indian Ocean' award by The Daily Telegraph’s luxury travel magazine, Ultratravel. This commendation was already awarded to Le Touessrok in 2011 and in 2010.
“Le Touessrok already won this coveted award in 2010 and 2011 and I feel very pleased to note that the hotel does it again in 2012. The Ultratravel magazine of The Daily Telegraph has yet again recognised Le Touessrok as the best hotel in the Indian Ocean. I congratulate the hotel’s team and management to that respect,” says Arnaud Martin, Chief Sales & Marketing Officer of Sun Resorts.
Le Touessrok wins the 2012 Ultratravel award in the Africa/Indian Ocean category, beating hotels like Banyan Tree in the Seychelles, Mount Nelson and Cape Grace in Cape Town, South Africa and Conrad Maldives Rangali Island in The Maldives. Le Touessrok was the only hotel to have been nominated in Mauritius in 2012.
The 2012 Ultratravel Awards ceremony took place at The Savoy in London and Jean Pierre Bosquet, Director of Sales & Marketing for Sun Resorts in the United Kingdom, was presented the award which stands as a recognition of the best brands in the luxury travel industry.
“The award this year was presented by a host of music and sports personalities, including world class athletes. As stated by the Chairman of the Ultratravel Awards, it was a way of celebrating winners, not only the world’s best athletes in this Olympic Year for the United Kingdom, but also achievers who set the gold standard in their own field,” explained Jean Pierre Bosquet.
Sjefke Jansen, General Manager of Le Touessrok, states: “An award is recognition of the quest for quality and excellence we have at our resort. I am happy to share this award with all my management team and all our team members. Le Touessrok still proudly stands as one of the best hotels in the world.”
The Ultratravel Awards are decided by Ultratravel’s readers, who are asked about their best experiences in luxury travel; they then vote for their favourite. Ultratravel magazine has over a million readers with the Ultratravel awards running for five years.
