David Yeo, founder and owner of Aqua Restaurant Group, has been named ‘Restaurateur of the Year’ 2012 for Asia at the prestigious World Gourmet Series Awards of Excellence ceremony held in Singapore. Other nominees for the award were Joel Robuchon, David Thompson (of Nahm) and Pino Piano (of Gaia).
The World Gourmet Series Awards of Excellence recognises individuals and organisations in the Food and Beverage industry for their passion, dedication and success. The best in the industry are nominated for the awards by peers. Running now for 12 years, the Awards of Excellence have become recognised as important and prestigious accolades.

David Yeo is the creator and owner of Aqua Restaurant Group, launched in 2000 in Hong Kong. Under the creative vision of his leadership, the Group has not only taken its home base in Hong Kong by storm but has also expanded to include landmark concepts in Beijing and London.
Aqua Restaurant Group now has twenty two cutting-edge bar, lounge club and restaurant concepts, including the Hong Kong’s icon aqua, Hutong and Armani/Aqua launched in collaboration with Giorgio Armani last year.
