Jumeirah, the Dubai-based luxury hotel group and member of Dubai Holding, has yet again received the honour of being given two major accolades at the 2011 Business Traveller Awards, Germany, held in Frankfurt.
The awards, which are considered to be the most prestigious of their kind within the hospitality sector, recognise industry excellence across multiple categories and regions.
This year, the Jumeirah Beach Hotel was again named as the Best Hotel in the Middle East, which makes it two years in a row. This means that the popular beachside resort has been awarded the title an impressive five times since it opened in 1997, having already received the award in 2006, 2007, 2008, 2010 and now 2011.
In addition to winning the prestigious Best Hotel award for the Jumeirah Beach Hotel, the Jumeirah Group was also named the Best Hotel Group in the Middle Eastfor the second consecutive year. This is the third time the Group has managed to win this award and is a further demonstration of the consistent success of the home-grown Dubai-based company.
The Business Traveller Awards come as a welcome acknowledgement of the Jumeirah Group's constant efforts to achieve excellence, at the start of a year in which it expects to open at least six new hotels worldwide.
New properties planned for opening include the Jumeirah Zabeel Saray Dubai hotel, Jumeirah Etihad Towers in Abu Dhabi, Jumeirah Dhevanafushi and Jumeirah Vitavelli in the Maldives, Jumeirah Frankfurt luxury hotel in Frankfurt Germany as well as the possibility of new openings in Shanghai, Azerbaijan and Kuwait.
