P.G. West, owner of the BEST WESTERN Turquoise Inn & Suites in Cortez, Colo., has been elected to a one-year term as chairman of the Best Western International Board of Directors. West has been affiliated with the brand for nearly 30 years, and has served as a Board director since 2007.
"With the official launch of Best Western's Descriptor Program in February, 2011 will be a pivotal year for our brand. We are fortunate to have an experienced leader like P.G. West in place to lead us through it," said David Kong, Best Western International president and CEO.
The seven-member Board of Directors elected Julie Montmaneix as its vice chairwoman. Montmaneix, owner and operator of the BEST WESTERN Kings Inn in Corona, Calif., is a second-generation Best Western hotel owner and has been affiliated with the brand for more than 30 years.
