Hilton Worldwide today announced the appointment of William “Bill” F. Kornegay, Jr. as senior vice president, Hilton supply management (HSM).
Kornegay will be responsible for overseeing Hilton Worldwide’s global HSM team, which negotiates and implements agreements with hundreds of product and service providers. He will be based at Hilton Worldwide’s global headquarters in McLean, Va., and will report to Tom Kennedy, Hilton Worldwide’s executive vice president and chief financial officer.
“Bill has a wealth of global experience in supply chain management and understands what it means to support a globally recognized brand,” Kennedy said. “I am confident that his expertise will help us to further enhance our supply chain to the benefit of our owners and franchisees, and we are looking forward to having him as part of our team.”
Kornegay has more than 20 years of operational leadership experience with several Fortune 500 consumer goods companies. Kornegay joins Hilton Worldwide from Godiva Chocolatier, where he most recently served as senior vice president, global supply chain, following the acquisition of Godiva by Yildiz Holdings from Campbell Soup Company. In this role, Kornegay was responsible for the global supply chain operations of the company, including global procurement, logistics, manufacturing, contract manufacturing, packaging, engineering and distribution services.
Kornegay spent 10 years at Campbell Soup Company, holding several leadership positions, including vice president, global supply chain, and a three-year international assignment as general manager of UK operations. Earlier in his career, Kornegay held leadership roles in engineering, procurement and plant management at Frito-Lay, Kraft Foods and Johnson & Johnson. He earned his B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Northwestern University.
