Famed Hua Ting Restaurant at Orchard Hotel is ushering in a new decade by celebrating old favourities. To thank our discerning guests for their patronage over the past 18 years, the award-winning restaurant is reliving the glorious past featuring its most popular dishes! Relish delicious Dishes of the Decade available during Lunch and Dinner from now till 14 November 2010.

Join us in crafting a new decade of Signature dishes by voting for your favourites. The eight favourite dishes with the most votes will be featured in Hua Ting’s new menu of Signature Dishes. Lucky voters will win attractive prizes including a weekend stay at Orchard Hotel’s Suite, together with an exquisite dinner presented by Masterchef Chan Kwok, featuring winning Signature dishes for 6 persons in the luxurious suite!

Diners are in for a scrumptious treat, as Group Masterchef Chan Kwok and his culinary team whip up more than 60 old classic favourites with authentic cooking techniques.

Favourite appetizers include Deep-Fried Silver Bait gazed with Salt and Pepper; Crispy Roasted Pork; Grilled Pork Neck “Çhar Siew”; Deep-Fried Brinjal with Chicken Floss and more. Soups are essential to every Cantonese meal and the highlights are Double-Boiled Shark’s Bone Cartilage Soup with Three Treasures; Double-Boiled Sea Whelk with Chicken and Chinese Herbs; Double-Boiled Carp with Apple and other nutritious broths.

A wide variety of succulent meat dishes like Hua Ting’s famous Crispy Roasted Duck; Baked Empress Chicken with Chinese Herbs; Stewed Pig’s Trotter and other tender juicy dishes are available. Seafood lovers can dive into 18 dishes! The “catch from the sea” selection includes Sautéed Pacific Clams with Fresh Lily Buds; Tiger Prawns prepared Two Ways; Braised Sea Cucumber with Goose Webs; Pan-Fried Fillet of Sea Perch with Plum Sauce and Braised Australian Green Lip Abalone in Superior Oyster Sauce.

Steamed Mian Xian with Prawns in Chinese Wine and Chicken Sauce; Fish Paste Noodles with Sliced Fish and Bitter Gourd in Shark’s Bone Cartilage Soup; Fried Rice with Fresh Crab Meat and Egg White; Stewed Mee Pok with Live Prawns in Homemade XO Sauce or Stewed CK Hor Fun with Assorted Seafood in Egg Sauce are some of dishes in the popular Noodles and Rice Category that are available for your dining pleasure.

Well-loved oriental deserts include Double-Boiled Superior Bird’s Nest with Rock Sugar, Sweetened Almond Cream; Steamed Thousand Layer Cake with Salted Egg Yolk; Deep-Fried Yam Pastry; Chilled Sweetened Black Glutinous Rice topped with Vanilla Ice Cream in Young Coconut and other refreshing delights.
